Best thing I did for my norcold. I have lived 8 years full time in a fifth wheel and have struggled with my refrigerator the whole time. The cycling to defrost the fins has spoiled a lot of food over the years. I installed this this morning and already know that it's going to work great. I used my own wire connectors and had it installed in less than 15 minutes. I do hear the fan a little when I stand right next to the frig but that to me doesn't even count as a negative. Already very happy.

Simple install, followed the directions. Works great no more portable 'D' cell fans that work sometimes. This thing moves the air around great. Ended up turning the fridge down one number and it stays at a more constant temperature I believe the freezer is colder also ( my ice cream isn't soft ) . Well worth 50.00, I would buy it again. Barely notice a draw on my amp meter.

It works well. Just installed in our RV that has a Dometic side by side. It only works on the refrigerator side that has the fins where it is mounted. The wire harness was almost not long enough to reach connection needed for power and ground. Instructions are good. When turned on it is a bit noisy as there are 2 fans. It keeps ice from forming on the fins and actually will over time remove some ice build up. Helps system hold temp inside as it circulates the air inside evenly. Wish I had installed one years ago. I feel it would work just fine with slower and quieter fans. Unfortunately it does not help with ice build up in the freezer. What helps is. Do not put wet items in freezer unless in sealed container. I also disabled my ice maker and use a couple ice trays that have covers. Put ice in zip lock bags. Now have very little ice build up in freezer and virtually none in the fridge section. Easily will be more than a month maybe 2+ before having to defrost system.

This is the second one that i bought due to having a double fridge and the cooling coils in the back are too long for one fan to handle. I was still getting ice build up on the coils where the air flow wasn't getting. I installed the second fan in and no more ice build up and i have got to lower my temp one more setting from 5 to 4 and now to 3. This is a must have for RV'ers. Very easy to install. Only thing wished it had was a thermostat to turn on and off automatically instead of using the switch. Still AAA+++. It has helped drop my fridge temps by 6 to 8 degrees which inturn dropped the fridge setting. Thanks again. Kim

To start, we live full-time in our RV. I use a wireless thermometer in each the fridge and freezer to monitor the temperatures. The temps at the lower shelf in my Norcold fridge was about 43, and the produce spoiled quickly. I had the temp setting on 5-6, depending on the outdoor temps. Within 2 hours of installing this fan the temps dropped 6-7 degrees. The following morning the temp was 34 degrees and I was able to adjust my fridge temp setting to 3 to maintain 37-38 degrees. Yes, the fan is a bit pricey, but I'll be saving money in propane. As a bonus, there is also no more ice. It was very easy to install. Though we did not use the included connectors for Norcold refrigerators and connected the wires properly.

This product works great. I've seen a average 3 to 4 degree drop on internaltemp in my rv refrigerator. Norcold N61. A helpful feature would be if the manufactureradded a light sensor to turn the fans off when the light come on when you open thedoor to stop the fans. Fans also blow cold air out when you open the door. But stillgreat product. My frige is 10 years old. Battery draw is low. I have to 2 AMG wet cell 12 voltbatts on a 60 watt solar panel. No issue keeping batts topped off.Update: 10 months after purchase, one fan came unglued from housing and the clips that lockIt on to the fins, all but one has come out. They used hot glue gun glue to put unit together. The only way to repair is to find small enough screw or bolts with nut to secure fan to housing. Then find a bettermetal to plastic adhesive to permanently secure clip. That means a complete uninstall,, fix and reinstall.As a result of poor manufacturing process, I changed my review to a 3 star. Will reach out to manufactureto see if they are using a different assembly process. If so I will update review again.
