I bought this unit a few weeks ago and it came perfectly packaged with the the cover. Installed it as we are going to use it this coming weekend. The unit fit perfect in place of the the old 6 gallon Suburban with pilot ignition. The only issue for me was having to run to the local box store to get a Temp/Pressure valve and figure where to put it and what parts to make it happen. Aside from having to run the low voltage and change some plumbing it was easy to install as I am experienced these tasks. I would not recommend trying to install this unit yourself if you do not have experience with plumbing because you do have to install a T/P valve and it you will be making several trips to the box store for parts you didn't know you needed. Also they say you need to install a mixing valve which would have been nice to know before hand but I installed my unit without one and I'm going to see if it works with out it. Anyway, it's installed and initial tests show it works great. I will update this review in about a week and give a solid review.

I got this for my Furrion water heater. I was hoping it would work but the exhaust hole doesn’t line up correctly. So this will only work for whatever water heater it specifically is made for, even if the box dimensions are the same.

In spite of the fact that I am not an RV equipment expert, the handbook that was given made the process of setting up the RV quite simple. My RV's preexisting cutout was a great match for the 15-inch by 15-inch door, which I found to be quite convenient. The process of installation took me around one and a half hours, and the remote control that was supplied made the process of adjusting the settings quite straightforward. The fact that the remote has a fairly good range was one of the things that I appreciated about it. This meant that I could easily change the temperature while I was inside the RV without any difficulty. I have tried this product with both the kitchen faucet and the shower faucet, and I believe that the heating capability of 55,000 BTU is more than sufficient to provide a steady supply of hot water for an RV setup situation. Because I no longer had to wait for a tank to heat up, I was able to take showers and wash dishes in a manner that was more reminiscent of being at home than of being in a camper. I found the quick hot water to be very striking. I could always count on the water to be available, regardless of whether I required hot water in the morning or in the evening when it was cool. During periods of very low temperatures, I saw that the water heater required a little longer amount of time to get the water to the proper temperature. Although it was not a deal-breaker, it is something to bear in mind if you are going to be camping in an area that is really cold. Additionally, I discovered that the flow velocity must be rather high in order for the heater to function in the appropriate manner. It is possible that you may have difficulties in activating the heater if you have a preference for a very low water flow due to this fact. On the other hand, this did not provide a significant challenge for me since I normally like a more vigorous flow while I am taking a shower.

Installed water pressure regulators, 12v voltage regulators, new water and gas supply lines, new grounding wire... Unit never worked, would fire up, start heating the water, then cut off with an "E5" error every time. Then, the pressure release valve busted and was leaking or even gushing almost constantly. Tried EVERYTHING. Seller was friendly, but knew nothing about RV units, and admitted they had never tested these units out and even couldn't. Three levels of language barriers between the buyer, seller, and manufacturer admittedly made things much harderGot a refund at least.
