NOTE:

A. A pre-filter can extend the life of your water softener by removing sediment & other minerals such as chlorine that can clog the resin beads, protecting the system and improving its efficiency.

B. Backflush the unit every 3 months for 3 to 5 minutes.

C. Sterilize the tank before use or every year.

FAQ

Q: How to regeneration the unit?

A:

1. Disconnect the hoses connected to the unit and remove the head.

3. Fill the tank with 2 x 26oz table salt.

4. Return the head and connect the water source to the input.

5. Flush the unit for 30 minutes by turning on the water slowly.

6. Increase the water flow for 10 minutes until the salt is fully dissolved.

7. The unit is ready for use if the saltwater is completely drained from the unit.

Q: How to storage the water softener?

A:

1. Backflush the unit.

2. Regenerate the unit.

3. Put the unit upside down to drain the unit. Make sure the unit is dry.

4. Backflush and regenerate the unit again before reusing.

I have now had this softener going on 8 months and it works great. We full time in our fifth wheel, and as expected, we have to recharge it about every 2 months. We have had zero issues with this and would definitely buy it again.

I recently moved to an area with extremely hard water. Within weeks of living here, my long beautiful hair was falling out at an alarming rate. I was rinsing my hair with vinegar after washing it, it was so bad. I installed this in my shower (I rent, and swapped out the shower head) and oh my, the luxury of soft water! My skin has stopped cracking and bleeding, my hair is oh so soft and has stopped falling out. The biggest issue with this setup, if anyone wants to do the same, is that the tank is large so it takes maybe 5 minutes for the water to circulate through. Changing the temperature of the water is almost impossible. As someone else noted, this is a pretty high quality product for the price. I would buy again

Rated this at a 4 because I've only had it about two weeks. Our water is softer now which we Our pleased with. The one problem I had with it,was the quick release for the water. Was working fine the first day. However during the night it popped loose and flooded my yard. After that it would hook up but would pop off as soon as I turned the water on. So I would not use the quick release if you purchase one.
