Cordless soldering iron we are definitely living in the future! I used a 2ah battery and was very impressed by the amount of use I was able to get from one charge. It heats up very very quickly and overall feels like a nice quality built product.

Easy to use and works really well. It has an auto off feature, which is good. But I wish the time was adjustable. When I'm building a board, it turns off too soon. For quick repairs, it's fine.

This soldering iron is great. It heats up quickly and the holder is a nice feature. I have only used it with a Ryobi battery so far and I love that it is portable because of this option. The only downside is that you don’t know the actual temperature you have it set to because the dial doesn’t give increments in between the minimum and maximum temperature.

I love this thing and try to find excuses to use it whenever I can. It heats up fairly quickly, solders nice, and I don't have any big complaints. I do wish the temperature settings were digital however. The wire for the soldering iron is PVC, which means you'll melt through it quickly if you accidently touch it with the hot iron. The built in tip holder works well with the bigger included tip. It doesn't hold well with the included smaller tip or any other tip I own. The sponge holder holds better than you'd think, but will still fall out if shook around. A built in tip cleaner would've been nice, too. Now, it might seem like I'm complaining about the thing, but overall, I love it.

I needed a portable soldering iron cuz I did not have any 110V at my location. I originally purchased a AA battery type of soldering pen,which was waste of time, not hot enough. Thank God for free returns,LOLThis soldering iron has adjustable heat and at 12 setting will solder rosin core in seconds as it should. Heats up faster than my 30W 110V iron. LED INDICATORS are red while heating up then green when at temperature. This is while using a Ryobi One battery. You can replace the battery with a common extension chord plugged into the back where the battery would be located.Nice bench top style design that can be also used as a portable.Cable length to the soldering pen is adequate.Comes with foam cleaning pad and two tips, one flat and one point.Buy with confidence!!!

This is a great soldering iron, I use it several times a week at work both indoors and outdoors. I have been using this soldering iron for about a month now. I love this portable soldering iron because of its features. It has temperature control and the ability to use rechargeable batteries or 110v AC power from an extention cord. The iron has a great feel, not to large or bulky and it heats up very quickly. It heats up well under a minute depending on the temperature. I have used this iron outdoors several times now in windy conditions. The iron stays hot with no issues. My only complaints are subjective. The base station is a bit large, I wish it could be smaller. I also would like to see a longer cord between the iron and the base at least 1.5FT longer for working farther away from the base. Overall I would recommend this portable soldering Station over the other battery soldering irons available right now because of its versatility.
