I have surface roots from a tree we took down, and this is helping me cut through the roots and the dirt doesn't bother it, as it would a chain saw. I bought this as a return, nearly new product..what a GREAT value!

This saw is much more powerful than my Makita 18v cordless reciprocate saw. It makes cutting down big tree trunk much easier!

I bought this saw for household projects:- cutting up fallen tree limbs- disassembling pallets for pallet projects- cutting foam insulation for installation- cutting dry wall- cutting plywood and 2x4 boards for stage propsHow does it work? Great! If I was a carpenter working on building or demolition projects, then I'd find myself a little embarrassed using this. It's smaller, it's lower power, and it would never keep up with the really big bois, cutting speed-wise.But that's not who I am or how I use this saw. I use this for around-the-house DIY projects, and it's great.- it's not crazy heavy- it won't blow my fuse box- the blades snap in very easily (I didn't need to read the manual)- it takes all the industry standard blades- it gets the job done- and it's really, really inexpensive compared to the professional grade brands without feeling or looking like it's cheaply made.My only wish is that I'd bought this 20 years ago.
