Packing and unpacking your straw hat during your travels can sometimes change its shape. Follow these simple steps to get your hat back to its best:
Brim Flattening
- Rest and Relax: Let the hat rest on a flat surface for a few hours.
- Add Weight: Place books on top, with a towel or cloth in between.
Overall Reshape with Steaming
- Be Gentle: Use low steam with a towel or cloth barrier.
- Reshape: After steaming, reshape with hands and let it rest on a flat surface with weight if needed. Reshape the crown by applying steam and support with a cloth inside while it dries.
Important Tip
- Avoid Water: Do not saturate the hat with water to prevent damage

Packaging had it shaped like a cow girl hat but after getting it straightened out it works great. Not the most durable but it's a straw hat. Super breathable and has good shade coverage. Toooooons of options. I'll be buying more. Works for fishing or concrete work or roofing or anything else you need the sun off of you for.

The hat itself seems great. The style and colors are exactly what I was looking for. I’ve previously purchased items from SA and haven’t had issues and was excited for this hat. Unfortunately when it arrived it was stuffed into a box about 1/3 the size of the hat and was folded/creased in multiple places. Some of the creases actually caused the straw to crack and damaged the hat.Disappointing customer service SA… you take a quality product and then ruin it by hiring lazy (or incompetent) people in your shipping department. It doesn’t take much effort to ship things properly and actually give some semblance of caring about customers being satisfied with your product.

SA is a great quality hat. Why do you allow the USPS to deliver them and they arrive damage. My recent order was crushed, had to file for a replacement.

Ordered the hat on the 3rd and the shipping label was made on the 4th. It took till the 17th for it to actually be shipped. Once it got here it was all smashed up, folded and creased. Some of the straw on the hat was actually cracked/broke from being folded. The look of the hat itself is great with vibrant colors and fit is nice but shipping and packaging are a joke.It’s now been 2 days and the brim is still not flat. I’ve had stuff sitting on the brim trying to make it lay down and even tried putting in the sun to help it relax and nothing…It's now been 3 days and the brim is getting closer to being flat but its still creased/broken in places because of the shipping. From what I've been reading this has become normal occurrence.

Came in the box with the sides all bent up can't lay them flat, tried and the straw starts to crack..... Nice hat but why send it with the sides folded up... Most likely will be returning and looking else where

I was a bit skeptical when I owned the hat and the sides were bent up. After a couple day and a few squirts from a water bottle it all settled down. Love this hat and the extra sun protection it provides!
