Why we apply 316 stainless steel rather than 304 stainless steel.
Standard 304 grade can against corrosion attack due to high Chromium content with low carbon content, it is excellent in many corrosive media.
However, 304 has one weakness, it is subject to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm chloride environments, and to stress corrosion cracking above 60 °C (approximate).
316 has superior corrosion resistance because of the addition of molybdenum, this gives 316 ability to withstand harsh environments, especially in chloride environment, 316 possesses
obvious advantage compared to 304.

Replaced my rope porch swing with chains and used these to attached the chains to the hooks on the porch ceiling. Worked great! Very sturdy.

I had purchased a package of two hooks. The product I received seemed sturdy, however, the two hooks were inconsistent in size and shape making one of them unusable for my project. Refund or placement requested and pending.

I waited a month to write this review. We use the hammock daily. Got these to use on a double hammock, have had no issues and it can easily hold my boyfriend, a dog, and I(total about 520 lbs). Cant beat the price, would buy again.

I appreciate how solid these are. I wanted hooks for our hammock that I wouldn’t have to worry about, no matter who sat in it (we have one friend in particular who is tall and muscular and has broken some of our outdoor furniture in the past). These are perfect. I had to buy more because my husband accidentally lost one when taking the hammock down and I can’t find anything that hold this much weight at the hardware stores.

From the sleek plastic snap box they were packaged in to the brushed metal as opposed to the super shiny slightly smaller and much cheaper looking set that shipped with my hammock. I instantly replaced those two with 2 of these & then the extra 2 came in handy as well. I ordered a 12 foot hammock thinking that was right, but my previous hammock must have been larger. I have owned the stand 18 years or so. Hammock was long gone. Its a stainless powder coated metal stand. The two extra hooks and an small length of chain leftover from the hammock of yore made the 12 foot hammock very workable. I could not be happier with this purchase. I thought I had accidentally & erroneously purchased 4 hooks I would not need. Instead they saved the day! :-)

They refunded me. The only problem with it was that I received only three hooks, that's why I can't give them 5 stars. Time was running out for me to use them. The quality seems as advertised (I don't use them, I bought them for the job, and I don't work there anymore... :) ).
