Bought this as a class set for my geometry class. Half of them don't spin. Kind of hard to draw circles when the spinning part doesn't move.Do not buy them. Yes they're cheap but it's not worth it.

I've purchased these compasses for my classroom many years ago, but the quality has declined to the point that they are worthless. The "knob" does not hold the slider in place, and the "compass point" is so small and hard to use that I could not draw a simple circle or curve with the compass. I purchased a class set and can't use any of them.

Used these in my math class. They are great and easy to use and the best thing is they are safer than the old compasses we used to use. Kids cannot poke each other or use to carve on the desks. Thank you.

Complete junk. Only a few of them worked right out of the bag. The rest broke after a few uses. The locking mech does not work.

The majority of these compasses do not lock and therefore they became horrible to use in my classroom. I bought these to have a great new set in my classroom and now I had to postpone my lesson because I had defective equipment.

Please, don't buy these. Out of a pack of 32 I received, I would say about 10 or 12 worked. Of those that worked, they lasted a few days before the locking mechanism didn't work anymore. I had to buy 3 packs of 32 in order to get about 40 of them. I spent my own money on this too.. worst decision ever.

They would not lock. Most of them would not work when I got them. The others did not work long. They were the poorest quality of any compasses that I have used to teach with in 20 years.

I bought these for my classroom thinking that I would use my own money to invest in a quality product for my students to use. DO NOT BUY THESE! As the other review noted, some of these will come broken! I had eight of mine arrive not being able to lock. There is a huge design flaw in these and when I took one apart to find the problem, it is obvious that they are cheap garbage. For a well known company, they missed the mark here and I can't stress enough to buy elsewhere! Even the ones that work do not function as expected and they are so cheap I expect all of them to be broken within a month. Please save your money!!
