Matches the order but could use some more detailed installation instructions.

This chime sounds very familiar to anyone who has heard the classic doorbell chime. When testing my son's friend ran into the room thinking pizza was being delivered. Installation was easy, although it does not come with drywall anchors so you may want to have some on hand. If you're replacing an existing doorbell expect 10-30 minutes if this is new add some time for setting drywall anchors and maybe running the wire if you need it.The marketing material makes it sound like there are essentially 4 modes (ding soft or crisp, and ding-dong soft or crisp). This is not actually the case; "ding" is considered "soft", and "ding-dong" is considered "crisp". If you want "ding-dong" use the "front" terminal, if you want "ding" use the "rear" terminal.Additionally beware that although this chime is rated at 16V 10VA, that works out to 16v @ 0.6A. In my testing this chime draws a peak of 3.5A (over 2x the rating). Ensure you purchase an appropriate transformer; one rated for 30VA should be able to handle the peak current draw. Digital power supplies (feel light in the hand) will likely not do well with this chime; get a nice, heavy, chonky one and you'll be happy.Overall, this is a great classic chime that will work as a drop-in replacement for an existing analog chime or add that classic "ding-dong" pizza sound to a new home. Paired up with a good transformer and you'll be happy now and have the option to use a smart doorbell in the future!4/5 - Works great with the right power supply and expectation of chime modes.

After 20+ years, our doorbell was sick and near death, and sounded like it too. Replaced the button, then found this to replace the chime. This is very similar to the one we replaced, so it was an easy replacement. Probably took less than 10 minutes to swap out, but I didn't time it. Not sure how it would be on an initial install, but thankfully I don't have to do that. Now our doorbell sounds as good as new. It's plenty loud, so we'll be sure not to miss any visitors. This also comes with 2 doorbell buttons. We're not crazy about the style, so would never use them, but if you like a round button, then I'm sure they would work just fine. The price is very reasonable for a good replacement.
