This incubator is designed with temperature control and humidity monitoring, which makes the process of hatching eggs much simpler and more reliable. One of the standout features is the automatic egg turning function, which ensures that the eggs are rotated evenly without any extra effort on my part. The included egg candler is also a handy tool for checking the development of the embryos, giving me peace of mind that everything is going smoothly. The adjustable egg compartment is a nice touch, as it accommodates different egg sizes and helps keep them securely in place. The setup was straightforward, and the incubator is easy to operate, with clear instructions and controls.

I found the product to come packaged well and having every needed for small batches of eggs. Using it as a project with some kids it worked well. I can not say how it would last in the long term and with continued use. Overall it arrived with all parts and in working order. I think it is a decent product for what it is.

I could be doing this wrong but I couldn't get the humidity to stay at a constant. It fluctuated quite a bit and then I couldn't get it past 45% when I needed it to. It seemed to have worked up to the last 3 days remaining. The chicks definitely formed in the eggs but they never pipped. It looked like they were all shrink wrapped. Looking into it, its due to low humidity. Again I could have done this wrong but we lost a batch of eggs and wasn't worth a second try.

So, I wanted to wait with a review , until I used it. I filled it with eggs , put water in it, hooked the egg turner in and marked my calendar. First of all, it instantly fogged up and had moisture covering the top. A day before hatching , I took the turner out and put a paper towel on. Well, out of a dozen, 2 eggs hatched . (Hatching day was yesterday). It looks like one more is going to hatch today. When opening to take shells out and check on chicks, I found that all the eggs on the right hand side weren't even warm. The ones to the left felt nice and warm, but not on the right. 😞. Can't recommend. Sorry

Right out of the box I was impressed by the simplicity of this device. It was SO easy to set up. It holds up to 20 eggs (depending on their size) and it auto-rotates them smoothly and silently. You can barely hear this thing, it's so quiet. Humidity in this is activated by placing some water in the bottom tray. There are drain holes on each end of the tray to act as an overflow. I am placing a tiny remote hydrometer inside one of the unused egg spots to get a humidity reading. I don't mind that, I feel better that I can monitor that on my phone. It has a tiny but simple display panel that shows the set temp and the current temp. The setup was simple. The rotating handle is attached to a gear in the roof and just moves the tray back and forth - it's pretty genius and simple. The lid fits well but might be a bit of a challenge to place until you get the gear lined up, but that isn't hard at all.The set comes with a spray bottle, a squirt bottle and even 5 little water attachments for the chicks once they hatch out.If using this in your house I would recommend setting the incubator in a drain tray (one like you might use for seed starting) to catch any drips from the overflow. Not a lot of fuss, and not a lot of things to get broken. I love this one.

I also own a larger incubator made by Sailnovo, so I’m familiar with their products. I’ve had success hatching chicks in the larger incubator, so I thought I’d try the smaller one.I currently have this new one loaded with eggs. I was able to get 12 eggs in it. It is holding temperature and humidity very well and the egg turner is working well. I purposely tried multiple sized eggs to see what would happen and the turner is not having any issues with the differences. This is great news because I would like to hatch duck eggs this Spring, and my duck eggs are slightly larger than my chicken eggs.I like that there is a built in candler. The control panel is also easy to use. One thing I really appreciate is that the controls are all on top. This means that the entire lower section, turner, and water reservoir can eventually be removed after the hatch and sanitized. I have had incubators in the past that were extremely difficult to keep clean. If you can’t keep them clean, your next hatch rate may fall due to the germs you incorporated into the environment. The panel on top is LED and easy to read. You will be warned by a beep if temperature or humidity is off which is a great because life is hectic, and I don’t have time to watch an incubator all day. I also like that it has an automatic egg turner. Some units don’t, and this is a task that must be done for hatch success. It is convenient and one less thing I need to think about. Some other things I like are the overall size of the unit; the clear dome lid so you can see inside; and the energy efficiency of reusing the packaging foam to insulate the unit. When you receive the unit, do not toss your packaging. Sailnovo has cleverly cut the foam so you can re-use it to insulate your incubator in cooler areas. I like this idea because you essentially have “zero waste” from packaging and a reduction in electricity to keep the unit warm.I am unable to predict the hatch rate of my eggs at this time and that will also depend on whether my eggs are all fertile (I’m a free range chicken owner, so I rely on “mother nature” to take care of the fertility). However, given that the environmental conditions are seemingly correct, I would anticipate this incubator to work as well as others from Sailnovo. Five stars.
