Teaching when you have a cold can be challenging but not with this product! The microphone quality is top-notch, it is so easy to charge and use and the battery lasts all day for me.

Got this to help me talk to my mother since she started losing hearing and I have problems speaking loudly enough. It helps, but it's not great. This would probably be better for a classroom or conference situation instead. I also have to wear the speaker down on my ankle to keep the mic from causing feedback. This isn't very ideal for any situation.

This item does not work. I took it to class after charging it and couldn’t get it to turn on. I tried all the troubleshooting they have available for the product, still nothing.

I purchased this for two main purposes: speaking to an audience in a medium-sized club before an acoustic performance and capturing speech for experimental recordings. For the former, the amplifier performed well—the headset fit comfortably, the cable was sufficiently long, and the sound quality, while not high-fidelity, was clear and comprehensible. For the latter, I encountered some feedback issues (avoid bringing the mic close to the unit unless you enjoy sharp tones!), but this is expected and can be interesting in its own way.Considering the price, this is an excellent, straightforward solution for those needing a bit of amplification in a moderate setting.

I got this speaker for use in my profession as an interpreter and also to use as a portable speaker for my bass guitar. So far I have mostly only used it for my bass, because I do not like the long wires with the headset too much. The wires get twisted and make setup difficult, so I have yet to go to the trouble to set it up at work. I am saving it for the next time I have a big meeting. As a guitar amplifier, it works well. The speaker is light, and stays out of the way, mostly. The sound is clear and distortion free in all cases, so it is not a bad choice.

I had an event coming up where I was going to be working with some very exuberant youth. I needed something that would amplify my voice so they would hear me without me having to talk over them, so I thought I would give this headset a try. It was very easy to set up, and the battery life lasted for the afternoon I was out with these kids, without being overly bulky or having any weird electronic sound to my voice. The headset fit comfortably and wasn't too bulky like I was worried about when I initially saw the size of the speaker, and honestly after about an hour I forgot I had it on. I was very thankful for it and I think I will continue to utilize this in group settings, when it comes to working with young kids, because I never want them to think I'm yelling at them just because I'm raising my voice so they can hear me over they're excitable energy. Definitely a great value for the price, and saving my vocal cords, lol.

Our church has a “Youth-Led Christmas Service” every December. We are a very small congregation, (think 30 +/- members) and we do not have enough kids to actually do a classic Nativity pageant. So we adapt the service to accommodate anywhere from two to six children, max, in any given year; they mostly do recitations, lead responsive readings, and do some narrations. It is necessary for us to have some kind of voice amplification system for the kids. Kids that can reach the decibel level of a military jet while playing outside (or in the house) suddenly have tiny, barely above a whisper voices when in front of a congregation. In the past, we have used ONE voice amplifier that is passed from kid-to-kid during their recitations and narrations. While this works, it has its limits, and it’s not unusual for some shenanigans to take place during the pass-the-mic intervals. We decided a second amplifier as well as a second lectern would be the answer and so we ordered this one. At $35, it is certainly within our budget. We have already begun practice for this year’s program. The kids take turns walking to one or the other lecterns to speak. This has mostly eliminated the silliness that goes with passing a mic!The unit is permanently affixed to the second lectern instead of the kids wearing it on their head. They pick up the mic part and hold it in front of their lips like any hand-held mic as they speak; it works excellently. If you are accustomed to wireless mics/amplifiers, it takes some adjustment and re-thinking to use this one as it is wired. That’s not a bad thing; I just thought I should mention it.Although this amplifier and the other one we have are only about 12 ft apart in the chancel, there is no feedback (squealing) from one unit to the other as we were concerned might happen. This is a plus!It is loud enough for our small building. I cannot speak on how effective it would be in a larger building or outdoor application. Oh, and the unit was fully charged in about 45 minutes!I can certainly recommend this unit for use in a smaller building.
