I had seen this product on an artist's YouTube videos & it has excellent reviews. Although I already have a Derwent rechargeable eraser, I decided to take the plunge & order the EE-3000. It is expensive & it did have to come from the US, but I am very satisfied with the product. It's supplied with batteries, which are easy to install & is lightweight & comfortable to hold. I use it to create highlights & it performs well removing pigment from Luminance pencils on smooth board. My one minor criticism would be that the power button has to be held down during use (the Derwent can be locked to the On position). For overall performance, I would rate the EE-3000 above the Derwent.

Really works well for doing human hair or for hair on animals. It takes a little getting used to it to be able to control the force. Once you are used to the power of it, it’s a dream.

I got it not expecting much more than cheaper electric erasers but it had a much smaller eraser than my other so it can really get into tight spaces. Even erased some inks I tried it on.

Throws dust and CAN eat through erasers kinda quick, but reliably erases what others can't.

I had to go through a LOT of youtube videos to find a good electric eraser, before I realized what kind of quality I could expect from Sumogrip. This thing is expensive to be sure. But it is easy to use, and it erases in a way that is far cleaner and less worrisome than rubbing with a normal eraser, or even a "gummy" one. I don't need to worry about accidentally creasing my paper with this!If I had to give any feedback, it would be that I wish the form of the machine was a little thinner, less bulky. But considering that it takes Two AAA batteries, that's probably asking too much. Definitely recommend this.

Of all the small battery erasers, this is the best (and most expensive). But it’s worth it. I paint small to medium sized paintings by airbrush and brush in acrylic, and the Sakura is the best. It works well for picking out highlights and when I’m painting a foreground to resemble gravel or stones, it allows me to create layers of color that vary in multiple hues and values. I just wish Sakura still made the blue eraser heads that work so well for erasing acrylic.

Been using it a couple of times per week for over 5 months now. Works well, fast-precise erasing and I like it having replaceable standard batteries. I am still working with the batteries that came with it. No cords or transformers to mess with. No need to try and find the correct rechargeable battery when they go bad.

After reading a lot of reviews of various brands of electric erasers, the Sumo gets the best opinions--and after quickly setting it up (put eraser in holder, insert in end, put in 2 AAA batteries--included) I was off erasing colored pencil with no trouble at all.It seems rather "wussy" to use an electric eraser but it's specifically for charcoal, pencil and pastel--any erasable medium. The eraser is precise and removes most or all of the color depending on your medium. You can "draw" with it over a field of laid-down medium. Or remove mistakes very precisely.

I was shocked when I saw it take computer ink off of paper. Thick bold letters of computer ink on header titles turned very light . This is meant for dark sketches like pencil and charcoal shading . Says it’s good for graphite too. It doesn’t wobble like the ohuhu knock off . Everything is tight and firm . I was first skeptical of the button because I heard no click before inserting the batteries , but soon found out that the button is perfect and you can’t accidentally press it by resting your finger on it . It’s very powerful and was recommended by ZHC YouTube artist . His looks a little different due to the model he got but it’s by Sakura so it’s the same company. I love this eraser .Only complaint is that it says 20 refills and 2 eraser holders but in actuality ... the 20 erasers counts as 19 refills for first time users . The 2 eraser holders makes you think one is already in the eraser but no so you have to use one of them making it 1 holder refill .Other than that it’s perfect so you should definitely buy it !

for artistic applications like penciling an outline for a final pen sketch, this eraser allows for a much finer level of precision than a manual eraser of the same size. no collateral erasure.recommended especially for manga or other smaller scale work. you can also use it for a lot of advanced techniques when working on larger, more formal graphite drawings; youtube those if that's your goal.

I’ve recently rediscovered my interest in drawing and,(i having browsed around YouTube to get some inspiration, I was initially amused to find someone recommending using an electric eraser. I dismissed the idea as technology for technology's sake. However I bought a cheap version on a whim at Christmas last year and my cynicism was totally justified! Mostly because the motor on the cheap unit would grind to a halt with the application of any pressure sufficient to actually erase anything.HOWEVER! Watching another YouTube video recently where the artist was using this unit and clearly finding it really useful, I made one of those fateful 2 a.m. purchases and promptly forgot about it until it arrived several days later.I'm amazed. Clearly the extra money has gone into build quality and motor power. I now use the fine tipped eraser like another pencil.Works beautifully on pencils both coloured and pain and I've just ordered a second one to be sure I always have one with me!!!!
