These are the only pens I use. I like pigma ink. I have been using them about 30 years.

As a professional artist, one of my go-to drawing pens is the Sakura Pigma Micron set. I used a variety of several different tip sizes, and shapes, and I always use these particular pens. I've tried other pens on the market, but I always come back to the Sakura pens.Besides black ink these pens are available in a variety of vibrant colours. The ink is PH neutral, quick drying, and they are approved by ACMI toxicologists, These pens contain archival inks. The ink is fade resistant, waterproof, and bleed free, even if you watercolour over them. This makes them great for drawing, artwork, journaling, and more.A set of Pigma Micron Drawing pens gives you variety for whatever job you need. Some nib sizes range from the finest to the boldest: 005, 01, 02, 03, 05, 08mm's. The smallest tip can create smalle details, whereas the boldest tip can give thick black lines with a single stroke. These pens can be refilled. The nibs will start to wear down, but youwill get a lot of use out of them. So, If you want a new favorite set of drawing pens, then look no further than Sakura Pigma Micron pens.

These are my favorite pens. I am a lefty and have trouble smearing. Comparing these to my (other) favorite pen (the Zebra gel G-301/402 series) pens, these are amazing and dry fast/less smearing on all types of paper to include the semi-gloss paper used in BlacknRed notebooks. They do not last very long, but that seems to be the standard with quality pen ink. You will get at least a couple weeks out of a single pen, assuming modest daily note taking in an office environment. I do not use these for art, but I can't imagine why these would not be on the top of your list as the ink is precise, does not smear or bleed, and just brings me joy.

It works fine but is nothing special in the archival fine ink world

Works very well on watercolour paint ONCE the paint is VERY dry. If you try beforehand, the nib of the pen will get paint on it and will not work until you clean off the "gunk".
