Necessary Pilot Pins
- The pilot pins are used for marking the center of the hole to be cut and discharging the drilling core. During the drilling process, the pilot pin will retract into the cutter to become lubricated to reduce the heat in the slug.
3/4" Weldon Shank
- Fit for various brands of magnetic drills with 3/4" Weldon shank, including Alfra, Evolution, Dewalt, Hougen, Milwaukee and so on. The annular cutters can even be used with machine tools such as mills and large drill presses with tool holders.

I have mixed feelings on this set, there are some nice things about it. Namely; quality of the bits - they seem definitely to be well machined, they have very sharp and precise edges and the geometry of them overall seems to be executed to a high standard of craftsmanship. I also like the way the bits are marked with easily readable sizes (Seems to be laser etched). I also appreciate the form factor of the packaging, which has a strong foam with individual slots for each bit as well as for the locating tip, and a hard outer shell which is quite adequate. On the other hand I am not a big fan of a few things, for one the price is not amazing I feel at $70 dollars, though forgivable as these do seem to be quality cutting tools. Another thing to be aware of is that this kit is comprised pretty much all of sizes that will give you 1/16th of an inch clearance over typical sizes... So instead of a 1" cutter you get a 1-1/16" inch cutter - so make sure that that actually works for your application before purchasing. Another thing to me which is a bit odd is that my particular item arrived well packaged, but pretty scuffed up outwardly which makes me curious if it was a returned item or like a floor model in a store or something. Also make sure that your application for these cutters is capable of fitting the "Weldon Shank", you may need to purchase an adapter of some kind if you don't plan on using these in a mag drill.

These cutters are great for drilling through steel plate instead of using standard twist drills. Due to the fact that they actually remove less metal overall, to make the same size hole, they are much quicker. They also hold size better. A step up in drilling tech on all sorts of machine tools.

These cutters have worked exceptionally in aluminum and steel. Only used to sizes so far and been very impressed how quality they can mill through thick guage materials. The box is a great addition, cutters fit perfectly too.

This drill bit set is so visually satisfying? What the heck? The case is very nice and good quality. The foam inserts are nice and well cut. The bits themselves are well made and look oddly high end. Thr design is superb.But for all their beauty, the bits are also beasts. They cut extremely well. The value in the tool side alone is phenomenal.
