I've used other salt cellars before and this one is on par with those that cost much more. This one is a great value and I found that the item matched the posting's description. The magnet is rather small, but still quite effective.As other reviewers have noted, there is a bit of roughness in certain areas, but this is common for bamboo products and does not diminish from the product's usefulness. I ordered this to hold baking soda as I have the really bad habit of just leaving the open box in the cabinet and this will offer more protection. Quite pleased with the product.

While this is appropriately priced, I would expect a little more as other options come with a spoon and likely a better magnet.It does its job, storing salt...but thats not a hard job to do. It does look good in my kitchen, but I have a few gripes.When I first opened the container it had a very pungent vinegar smell that took days to air out and still lingered a bit.The magnet is ok, but I wish it was a little stronger to keep the lid shut, and the lack of the salt spoon is disappointing.Spend $2 more and get one that's better.

I have some flakey sea salt that I store in my salt cellar, and it's been so nice to have. Handier than grabbing my box of salt from the pantry, and I can just twist the lid, grab a pinch or spoon of salt to sprinkle, and twist it closed to where the magnets meet and it keeps it closed easily! I just wish it was a little wider, but other than that, I love it sitting on my countertop!

This salt cellar is handy if you need to grab pinches of salt or herbs rather than shaking them out. The lid is attached and swivels open; a small embedded magnet keeps it closed when not in use. It's constructed from bamboo or similar type wood and is very sturdy; I usually use Maldon sea salt and this salt cellar holds about half a box worth inside. My only complaint is that the bottom piece on the inside has a fairly large gap, so over time, salt will get stuck there. The cellar doesn't have any holes or anything, but I would expect something like this to not have evidence of poor craftsmanship. Overall, it gets the job done and looks nice on the counter.

These 6oz salt cellars are a must have for every kitchen. The magnetic lid is great and easily slides away to get access to your spices while being strong enough to keep things secure on the inside while moving around.

I love these bamboo salt containers! I love how you can quickly grab the exact amount of salt you need. It is a big container too so it will hold lot of salt at once. The magnet makes it quick and fun to open. It feels very sturdy and great quality. Excited to get a lot of use out of it!
