My reason for the purchase was that we were going on a 3week holiday and I did not feel I could ask a neighbour to feed the fish daily, for 3 weeks.My pond is outside, in the garden.Basically it worked fine BUT, the spout that delivered the fish food protruded from the main body. On return from holiday I found it had rained and food was sticking to the spout, subsequently limiting the amount of food being delivered.It would be ideal if the pond is either internal, or in a sheltered area.

It can be confusing to set up the program and the instructions are fair! Unit is self contained.

Do not buy this product. I bought 2 and after 1 month one of them broke right after Amazon return window. These are not water resistant they will stop working. What is the point of getting it if it breaks after 1 month. Do not buy. Until they fix them and make them water proof.

The batteries were not included and the top does not lock on one of the tabs. They should have tried to shield the food shoot from the rain as it clogs up when it gets wet. I bought 2 of these things between June 28 and July 10 and both of these ha quit working. I try contact the seller and couldn’t get anyone to assist me. I was told by Amazon that there was nothing they could do so I tried to fix these things but the circuit boards are bad from moisture and cannot be repaired. If the seller could send me the displays wit the circuit boards I will try to fix them and then try to seal them from rain. If this seller doesn’t want to make this right they should be banned from Amazon. At this point I would recommend that no one purchase these for outdoor use!!!!!

Overall it works, it's just not very user friendly. The instructions are poorly written and the buttons aren't very intuitive to just figure out. I found a video that helped but every time I use it its terrible. I bought mine for my small Koi pond when I go out of town every couple weeks. You would think that once you got it set up with the time and feeding info, you would be able to just turn it off until you need it next. Not the case. Every time you turn it off it forgets everything so you have to start new each time you use it. Buy something else, I'm probably going to return this one myself.

Very good feeder. I have cracked corn to feed my pheasants when I go on vacation. I only wish it was also programmable to the minute.

product is well made and operates as described. However, it ended up attracting racoons for food. They in turn killed my koi which they had previously left alone. If you could mount on a pole in center of pond it might be useful. But in a fish pond with liner that isn't possible.
