The seal (glue) that holds parts of the briefcase together started to peel after a day of use. There's a huge flapper now. Disappointed.

Great briefcase. Bought it to store important documents. The only downside was it took over a week to get it with prime free shipping. But overall I'm very satisfied with the briefcase.

I have carried this case back and forth to work every day for nearly 18 months. Nothing extreme - it carries books, badges, correspondence, pencils and paper, etc. Leather on the handle is crumbling. More noticeably, the leather binding and one of two braces that hold the case together have completely separated, which means the case falls lopsidedly apart whenever you're opening it. Samsonite returned one email when I asked about having it repaired (or replaced) and asked me for its serial number. Now it's nearly a month later and I haven't heard another word from them. While it's an attractive case that appears sturdy and stylish, it's not well-constructed and nowhere near worth what it costs. I expected more from Samsonite. Update: Within 48 hours of writing this review, Samsonite contacted me and offered to replace the case with a newer model.

i'm happy with this Attache, it can fit my 17.3-Inch Laptop with big headphones and 3 or 4 small Western Digital passports + papers and even some clothes!i only wish the materials of the locks, the outside and the inside were better quality (softer/thiner and more metal, velvet, leather like). but for the price 100$ this is decent. not that i'm saying its not good but this is only me. feels more like plastic and nylon especially the inside.

I'm not sure if I should blame Samsonite or the shipper, but the case arrived in bad condition. The handle had a series of scrapes on one side that cut through the leather. The top was also not aligned properly with the bottom. This meant that when you closed the case, you had to slightly pull the top to one side in order to correctly line up the latches. I returned this product and purchased a different case. I was very disappointed as Samsonite usually has great cases.

I was surprised at how nice this brief case is for the price. It's got lots of room. I think it makes a nice impression when I meet with client. It just speaks that you are there to do business.It's actually the first brief case I've ever owned. I wish I would have got one sooner. No more wrinkled papers for me. No more lost papers from the last meeting I went to buried somewhere I can't find. I just put them safely in my case.It also is roomy enough to put my laptop into if need be, but it gets heavy with that in there. Anyway, what can I say. No problems that I can think of. I plan on taking care of this and making it last. Great value for the price. Doesn't look or feel cheap.

This briefcase looks very nice and is well made, but I'm disapointed that it does not expand as much as they make it look in the picture. The picture makes it look like it doubles in size .... in reality it only increases in size by about a half inch.

I purchased the Samsonite Traditional Expandable Leather Attachés in black as a gift for my husband from Amazon with free super-saver shipping. He says it is PERFECT and that he LOVES it! He wouldn't make a single change to it. His favorite part is that it is expandable! The other compliments he has for it are the many pocket organizers, comfort of the curved leather handle and the style. He uses about 3-4 times a week and has been leaving it in the cab of his truck during the Iowa winter. It is holding up great. I would purchase another one for a friend or family member without hesitation.
