One of the bases had damage to the plastic base and scratches incredibly easily. The second stand doesn’t set to the height I want and just lowers all the way down.Save your money and buy the official stand

The build quality appears to be very good. It does have some weight to the base which is good for stability. The ability to hide the wire is a great advantage. The assembly process was actually pretty easy, however having a second pair of hands would speed up the process. I did it by myself and it took about 30 minutes to assemble both stands. The speakers fit nicely behind my sofa. These are a little pricey but believe they are worth it.

The material is sturdy and the design is very streamlined. Installation is simple. The screw to tighten the speakers to the stand is a bit shorter so it took awhile to make sure the speakers are affixed firmly onto the stand. I highly recommend the adjustable height stands compared to the fixed height ones because everyone’s home and listening arrangement is different so you need to tune it to your needs. To adjust height you can either pull the stand taller or use the supplied tool to lower it. I find it a bit annoying that you had to use to tool to lower the stand but I guess it’s not that big of an issue once the right height is set. I wish more thoughts were put into the cord concealing mechanism. It’s these small things that sets a peoduct a class higher than the rest. But other than that no complaints.

(Item: Sanus Height Adjustable Speaker Stands for Sonos Era 300™ - 17" Height Adjustment Sonos Stand Includes Carpet Spikes & Rubber Pads - Easy DIY Install Comes w/All Hardware - Black Pair / $300 at the time ordering)Finding the best sounding speaker is objective. Different people will enjoy the ‘type of sound’ from one brand more than another. But for the most part, the placement of speakers (including the direction, height and distance) is far less objective. That’s where speaker stands come in. And these stands do a lot of things right. The built-in cable management is nice. And the option for spikes or rubber feet is also great. But, more importantly, these stands give you full control over customizing the placement of your speakers.More and more people are becoming prosumer audiophiles (myself included). As we all learn more about how sound travels, speaker placement throughout the room becomes a pretty straightforward formula. Once the center speaker (or sound bar) is in placed under the TV, the surrounds are next. Because everyone’s bedrooms/living rooms are different, speaker stands can offer some great advantages with regards to placement. For me, I found getting the speakers off an entertainment stand or bookshelf is important. When getting them off furniture like that (or cinderblocks, or even other speakers), you’ll already notice an improvement in the sound profile as the objects the speakers were previously on can vibrate, thus changing the sound. Secondly, and more importantly, the height for the surrounds should be at ear level from your viewing position if they’re in front of you. And lastly, the speaker distance from the wall behind them and the direction they’re facing (angled towards you) both play a key role.If you are using these as front surrounds, Sanus makes a non-adjustable pair of stands for the 300’s that are about 32” high. If your seating position is at that height, you can save some cash by going with those. For me, I’m using these in my bedroom as rear surrounds. And my bed is raised. This is where the height adjustability was key. I raised the speakers so that the sound cleared the the sides of my mattress. But additionally, I was able to go about a 6” higher than my viewing height (as recommended for rears) and it sounds ahh-mazing. Something I couldn’t accomplish with a fixed-height stand. As far as cost, they’re on the expensive side. As a good rule of thumb, usually 20% of your speaker cost will get you a fairly good stand. So these come in at over 30%. A bit high. Budget is always a driving factor. But, if you need that adjustability, these will do the job well. Whether you get these or another pair of stands, definitely spend the money on a quality pair. They should be weighted, built for the speaker in mind and offer cable management. As for these, they’re heavy and stable and I love them. And aside from doing their job well, they match the decor of my room without compromising the look of the speakers. Plus there are no blatant logos highjacking my attention. Great product and a great fit for the 300’s.
