Doesn't power up the drive, might be defective. I am waiting on replacement and will update when I try the new one.

First time I plugged it in it did not work. Restarted everything and it picked the drive up correctly. Seems like the speed is fine and it was easy to use.Power cable transformer is kinda bulky but it was fine.

Reads my 14TB shucked drive from BB with no issues. Transfer rate is limited to the speed of my drive. No issues with connection, no disconnects (most important), and good adapter that's solid. Highly recommend this!

Adapter is working just fine. I wish it was built a nicer though. It looks and feels cheap. The on/off switch has to be the cheapest switch there is. I am concerned if this thing will even last. If I was in the market for an adapter like this, I would not order this. This is working right now but I don't think that I can recommend this. I am giving 3 stars because of the quality.

This is a simple SATA adapter that will give you read and write capability with an external SATA hard drive. What I really like about it: it is simple and straight forward. No extra bells and whistles, just a simple data transfer device.This is replacing an older transfer device that was capable of transferring data from over twenty different types of devices. Slowly some of the ports quit working and the device became terribly slow.SATA is now the only device, besides USB, that I transfer data to and from. Granted my computer is older, so it does not have USB3 which means I don't reach the advertised 18Tb speed, but thats okay. It is still faster than my old device.It works great and I highly recommend it!
