Pins fit properly and of proper size. So far have no problem rekeying Schlage locks with them. My only issue is the tube tool to follow the core for removal; the slotted end does not fit a Schlage core. It is still usable if one is careful (if one is experienced enough).

This is a tedious process but this worked great to rekey several locks. Look for tutorials on youtube.

Watch a few videos to understand how locks operate and work carefully. If you have the key code, it is easy to rekey. I did not and was still able to get the right pin combination in just a few minutes. Having the tools in the kit was very convenient. Regular tweezers are also helpful.I just wish it had higher security pins (i.e. spools) and replacement springs.

The pins are great and organized well. Price is good for anyone not wanting a ton of pins. But the follow bar end doesn’t fit any of my Schlage locks, the side with the gap is just too narrow. And the sizer is fine but really needs a c-clip remover.There are better kits out there but this one was fine for a small pin stash.

I got this to change the key for all the locks on our house. They were all Schlage but used a couple of different keys. Over the years we have lost keys, given them to contractors who never returned them etc. so I wanted to re-key all of the locks to a single new configuration. Everything I needed was in the kit and the links to instructions were perfect for my needs too. At half the price of most kits just because an organizer box isn't included this is an absolute bargain.

The rekey kit was great price and had what you will probably need to rekey a Schlage lock set although a cap removal tool ( not part of this kit) is a help if you need to rekey a number of locks. In my order I was accidently sent two size 6 pins and no size 5 pins See picture where marker is at the two size 6 pin pouches and no size 5 pins. I notified the seller who promptly sent me a pouch of number 5 pins. Awesome customer service! I would buy again form this seller if needed in future.

I got this to NOT have to order the official Schlage kits that I would not need 80% of the contents. These pins DO fit - I keyed 3 locks with them. However, it was not without struggles. This kit will save you money if you do some prepwork.I did a knob, a lever and a deadbolt. The deadbolt was easy. The locks function like nothing changed. The knob and lever were a nightmare before I figured out how to use the included tools.The follower (white plastic rod) is not a good tool for anything other than a deadbolt. It does not fit the scalloped ends of Schlage. You'll lose top pins, beware.The flat bar tool is only good for releasing the knob from the door. it's not big enough or cut well enough to remove the c-clips from the cylinders - it moves them just enough to make it a pain.I did not need the key-decoder. I had all factory Schlage keys with codes.I took a 1/2 inch dowel, cut it to about 4 inches and cut one end to a 45 with the slightest flat lip at the point. I sanded it smooth and used some furniture wax on it to help it move in the cylinder.As for losing the top pins, I worked on a large bright white surface with a task light / magnifier. Thsi kept the top pins visible when they leapt to their freedom. I used wire tweezers to gently reinsert springs, place the top pins, and compress them one-by-one pushing the follower in to hold them down. It takes time but it was not that frustrating.Overall I don't regret getting this kit.I DO regret not getting genuine Schlage tools ahead of time. It would have shaved 1/3 the time off the job. The Schlage multi-tool with the key decoder has the right c-clip remover and pin to release the hardware and their follower would have prevented the top pin fiasco. The included tools simply don't work well.

Was much, much easier to use than I expected. I watched a video first, bought this kit because it seemed complete. It is. Except for tweezers, but I have a lot of thoseComes with a metal tool I didn't need, the follower (VERY important), and a b*ttload of pins in labeled bags. Fun trick: the code for the pins is actually written on the key, so it's pretty simple to just make the right lock. If that fails the kit also comes with a little gauge to measure a key and tell the pin numbers directly.I redid my first tumbler in like 2 minutes, piece of cake. It's more work getting the locks apart, than actually repining.Awesome kit, highly recommended. Way cheaper than paying some dude to fix one lock, much less the 50 you could hit with this setup
