Recommend using a craft paint brush and blotting the paint... just not too much on the brush because it most certainly will bleed. The stencil is flexible and hangs well with masking tape. Try to be patient and let it dry completely before moving it. If you have 'bleeding', keep a damp cotton swab nearby to 'erase' where necessary. I used satin finish.

This stencil was flexible enough to work around corners and cut-ins but study enough to prevent bleed through. Great product! Buy 2 for quicker project completion.

It’s huge which is so helpful. I didn’t do the best job lining it up, but it’s fiiiiine lol. I like the kind of messy look I ended up with.Use a foam roller or you won’t get crisp edges. Some of the wood I was painting was textured weird already so that’s mostly why it looks a little messy. The stencil made things fast and easy.

I used this stencil on my front porch floor. It’s a great, thick stencil - not super flimsy. I would recommend to purchase 2 for quicker use of covering a larger area so you don’t have to wait for paint to dry before moving on. I would also suggest strategically cutting one when you get down to the nooks and crannies for the stencil to lay flat in the smaller areas. Awesome product!!

Stenciling the kitchen added a personal touch to our apartment. I fell in love with the pattern because of all the photo reviews on Amazon. I have never used a stencil before so there was a bit of a learning curve. The overall process is simple, but I think stenciling this particular design was a little trickier as a beginner. The product was sturdy yet malleable so it helped when stenciling around corners, light switches, and outlets. I read the reviews and bought the spray on adhesive. I highly recommend using it for the appliqué. There are minor imperfections (bleed through, smudges, inconsistencies with paint thickness) throughout which I think comes with the territory of stenciling. That said, they do lend that personal, DIY touch to the decor and a sense of pride and accomplishment.The overall result is stunning. Thanks for taking the time to read my review!

I read all of the reviews of this last year before I bought it. It took me MUCH longer than most people suggested - perhaps because I did a bigger wall. Corners and going around the window were tough. I suspect the best way to use this is with an airbrush. I used regular wall paint and small artists brushes and painted each cell individually. I went through three or four brushes. This is not something where you can roll paint over it quickly. Overall it was worth the work though.

I wanted to do a fun accent wall on a small wall in my kitchen. I originally was looking into wallpaper but most of the ones I gravitated towards were more money than I wanted to spend since I would need at least 2 rolls. I ended up finding this stencil and I knew it was perfect. It was a 2 day project. Painting the base coat was super easy since it was a small wall so that part was very quick but I wanted it to be fully dry before stenciling. The stencil portion took probably about 6 hours. I have never stenciled on a large scale before. This stencil design was very forgiving of a little paint seeped out the edge. I am kind of a perfectionist and these little “mistakes” or bleeds would probably driven me nuts if the stencil design were different. I did buy spray adhesive to use with but I didn’t end up needing it. I bought a clip on level to use with the stencil and that came in handy. Everyone who has seen my wall is amazed when they find out it’s not wallpaper. I love it so much and I will definitely check out other stencils by this company for other projects. Highly recommend and love the way it turned out!
