Just received my first pair for 275/70/R18 perfect fit and super tough chains. I have another pair coming well worth the money compared to the other cheap chains you will get. The tensioners are thick steel, and the chain is very thick gauge. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.

Works good! Make sure to test fit them first

Good heavy chains. The only problem was that one of the strands of vbars was facing the wrong way, digging into the tire. I will have to heat and bend a hook link to flip the strand over.If not for that it would be 5 stars.

I've been plowing in N Idaho for 6 years. Finally got chains this season. Night and day difference. Traction was increased several fold. Every year I get stuck several times. Not once this year, don't even slip a tire in the worst conditions.Never used chains in my life and I'm a believer. Install has a learning curve but nothing too difficult especially with You Tube. Excellent quality. Buy the star shape bungee cord for a better fit.

Worked great on my 2014 F150 with 275/65r18s in soft snow pack and on ice. These were well worth the money for when I take my wheel house out on the lake.

These chains fit my tire size 265/75R16. They were easy to install and have worked good for ploughing snow on a very icy driveway. They are also clear coated which I thought was a nice touch as it will keep them from rusting for longer than oil would. So far they are great.

I bought these for my '94 Toyota to break into our cabin. This truck has an E-Locker in the rear and an ARB in the front. I've used standard chains before but never the V-Bar. I knew standard chains might not get us in this time of year with snow up to 4' in areas. I was easily busting the trail, which is an 1/8 mile long with these chains on all four with only the rear locker engaged for the really deep sections back in the trees. My wife was taking a video and it clearly shows the snow over the tires in one spot that is about 50' long. The tires are 33x10.50R15 General Grabber X3s.With a little throttle only, I was able to get to the cabin in about 25 minutes I didn't need to gun it too much, just keep the RPMs down and let the chains do their work. Also, I did not use standard tensioners as I've had them dry rot in the past, so I used 3 10" EPDM rubber trucker tarp straps to tension. We used the truck all week long to haul tools & supplies in and out of our cabin during Spring Break to work on it. I only had to reset the rear chains once per tire, as I was originally only using 2 straps on each. After that, no problems. These chains essentially gave us access that otherwise, we would've had to wait until May or June. Awesome chains! I will be outfitting our FJ Cruiser with these for next winter.

I have used a variety of brands of tire chains on various pickups and other vehicles. These are the best I've found so far. They are significantly heavier than other brands I've purchased. They are easy to put on tightly and after one season, haven't caused me any problems, haven't broken, etc. I use them for several miles on a very rutted, rocky non-maintained dirt road and field, through deep snow, including very icy snow and slushy snow in low gear and low 4WD at times--which is, I know from experience, hard on chains. I highly recommend these, at least for 275/65/R18 pickup tires. Also not everyone may need v-bar chains like these are. V-bars work great on ice, however. Note--ensure you also get the blue (not yellow) spider bungies to hold them on tightly. They're available on Amazon but also at various auto parts stores, tire stores, etc.--shop around for price (on the spider bungies as well as these chains) as it varies significantly. Please go to the Peerless site and enter your tire size to find an accurate list of what size tires these chains fit. The Amazon list and the link Amazon provides are not complete, so if you don't see your tire size listed, go to the Peerless tire chain website itself and search on QG3829 (which are the chains I'm reviewing here) for all the tires they should fit--they list more sizes than show in the chart on the Amazon chart.

Security Chain Company QG3829 Quik Grip Wide Base V-Bar Type RD Light Truck Tire Traction Chain for a LT275-65R-18 on a 2005 Ford F150.My observation is that they are good heavy duty chains. That Vbar looks like it will rip stuff up!Unfortunately they will not fit my Ford F150, the inner part of chain is wider than the gap between the tire sidewall and the upper control arm (ball joint). That aside, the chain is too long for the specific tire as seen in the picture. When installed, I was on the closest link and the chain was still too loose in my opinion and I did have the spider bungee on the chain, also as seen in the picture. You would be required to cut the extra links off or they would reak havoc with your fender and inner fender well. I expected to have to make this modification, and if they fit properly I would be fine with that. It is not the chains fault for the fitment issue , its the combination of the tire Ford truck and the particular tire. The factory tire was a 275/65r-18, so maybe the LT275 is wider??

Chains were great, but the Amazon Website Fit Check said this would fit on our car, it does not. Found a PDF file from Peerless on the Amazon Website and looked up by tire size which confirmed it was too big. The Chains being too bit, seems to be a common problem on other peoples reviews as well.
