Built in the USA of maple and hand rubbed with a Danish oil finish, this loom has a high quality wood and gear system. This loom is perfect for beginners and experienced weavers alike. Weave in comfort. Choose three different weaving modes: use the rear leg for hooking to a table edge, clamp it to a table for stand-up weaving, or install it on our convenient trestle stand. Warp in a flash. Fine-toothed nylon ratchets provide precise tension control. The conveniently located heddle blocks on the sides of the loom hold the rigid heddle in the up, down, or neutral position. The heddle, available in 5, 8, 10 and 12 dents per inch, is made of durable ABS plastic, with large eyes and slots. Flip is ideal for plain weaves and pick-up patterns. Flip is available in 15”, 20”, and 25” weaving widths, and includes a 10 dent reed, warping peg, 2 shuttles, 2 clamps, threading hook, and complete warping and weaving instructions.

I have woven on the Ashford 20" loom for years but wanted a wider loom to weave blankets. The Schacht brand offers a far superior product to the Ashford design because the shed on the Schacht loom doesn't disappear when weaving with longer warps, which is a hugely important consideration when weaving table runners, multiple dishtowels or placemats or long scarves! My only (minor) complaint is that the Schacht instruction manual for assembling the loom needs an overhaul. Maybe spend just a little bit of money on good graphics that are posted adjacent to the instructions or at least produce an assembly video and post to your website!

The loom was fairly easy to assemble for use. It’s made of fine maple wood and is very pretty even unfinished. Easy to fold for moving from one location to another. Somewhat heavy but well made and sturdy.

Packaged well, no issues with shipment. Loom is mostly assembled, you just need to attach the apron cords and bars to the beams. Overall it is a nice quality loom with a beautiful finish. I would recommend getting the loom stand.

Easy to put together so you can start weaving shortly after receiving. This is a great loom to start on because you can weave narrow to wide. It's a little awkward on the table, so the stand would be a great addition.
