Standard D-Ring Cuff
A D-ring cuff is a cuff in which the user passes through one end of the cuff through a metal ring and then attaches it to the arm. D-ring cuff assist the users in adjusting the cuff on their own arm, allowing them to take their measurement without the assistance of another individual.
How to use a sphygmomanometer correctly
1) WRAP CUFF AROUND UPPER LEFT ARM
Put the cuff on your left arm 2-3 cm (~1 inch) above your elbow. Cuff's tubes should run along the center of your arm. Wrap the cuff around your arm so that you can fit one finger between the cuff and your arm, and attach it with Velcro.
2) PLACE STETHOSCOPE ON LEFT ARM
Put the stethoscope on and place the head on your humeral artery a bit above the elbow joint facing the body where the artery usually runs. You can secure the stethoscope using the cuff.
3) INFLATE & DEFLATE CUFF
Quickly fill the cuff with air until it reaches your typical upper pressure reading with an additional 30 mmHg. Then, stop pumping in air. Start letting air out of the cuff so that the manometer's arrow descends 2-3 marks per second.
4) TAKE MEASUREMENTS
Note the pressure when you first hear your heartbeat. This is the upper, or systolic, pressure number. Note the pressure when the sound stops. This is the lower, or diastolic, pressure number.

As a nurse i like to make sure that i have a few bits of equipment at home or in the car just in case. Works well, the stethoscope is ok… i mean It’s great for the price and you can hear what you need too. 4 stars only because the Velcro on the cuff is a little poorer quality

Brought this for practice as I'm at uni training to be a nurse. Well the scope is rubbish, you can't hear anything...I mean I thought I was dead as there was no pulse in my main artery in my arm lol 😂 couldn't hear a thing! waste of money, the cuff was ok though but had to spend more money buying a new sethascope.

It looks very cheap. I bought to practice manual blood pressure reading. Initally I wanted to return it then I just kept it for practical purposes. For professional purposes I will recommend to look elsewhere for better quality
