My grandchildren and I really enjoy visiting our local parks, and what we do there depends on our mood. Sometimes, we walk the trails, swing, or play basketball, and other times, we just want to talk and take cool pictures. On this particular park visit, we decided to take short videos and try out the Mini Microscope. We were amazed at what we could see through it! It’s lightweight and fits perfectly in my carry bag. Since it was daytime, I didn’t need to use the built in light. I was able to see clearly through the microscope and even took a few pictures this would be great for journaling! To be honest, I thought that if we kept seeing things magnified so much, it might start to gross me out, but it didn’t. So far, I really like what this mini microscope has to offer!

This little "microscope" is not worth having. Save your money and get a little jeweler's microscope because those would be better than this. I guess it would be nice for a small child but it really doesn't do anything but magnify no better than reading glasses.

My son totally loves this. It comes with the slide that you can put under the microscope that have like parts of trees and flowers and even bug parts that looks super cool under the microscope. It has a light build into it so you don't have to worry about things being too dark when you're trying to magnify them. The price was right and it feels like it's well built and will last even when in the hands of a seven-year-old unsupervised! This keeps with our theme of wanting to get him only educational type toys and not dopey guns and stuff like that. He's already going around the house checking out little things underneath the microscope saying "dad dad come now, come check this out!" My little scientist ;)

A lot smaller than I thought but perfect for a kids hands. Very easy to use. Comes with 5 glass slides with specimens, very cool. I like that it came with a microfiber towelette to clean the eyepiece and lens as they get smudged pretty easily. I wish it came with some blank slides so we could put our own specimens in there, but these are standard sized so can be sourced elsewhere relatively easy.

I originally got this for my better half who likes to check out coins. I thought with the light and magnification, he'd have an easier time reading the dates and such. But, the magnification is too strong for it to really help with that. It is really cool to see what coins look like that close up though! So then I went around the house trying all kinds of items and kind of got hooked on this activity for quite a while! It is so amazing to see how things look under magnification - and with the light and the focus wheel - so many things to see!If you or your kids like exploring the world in minute, this is a great little tool to have! There are some slides that come with it that are really neat too, but just seeing things from every day life is so interesting. This is small - great for little hands to manage but not too small for my adult hands either.

This is a cute little kids' microscope. It's very small, and has limited function relative to what an adult or older child might want, but it's great for the younguns to explore with. There's a focus knob but the magnification level is set. The included slides help kids get started using this, though as a vegan I wish it didn't include insect parts. I found the diagram that presumably explains what the focus knob does unhelpful, but other than that the instructions are good. For anyone with glasses, it seems easier to use this microscope without them so I suggest trying that. This is ideal for looking at flat things like leaves, fabric, and other surfaces.

This little microscope has been a hit withkids, I bought it for my friend's especially my 8-year-old son who now considers himself a “junior scientist.” It’s compact, lightweight, and perfect for small hands. The built-in light and focus wheel work well, and the included slides (with bug parts and leaves) are actually pretty neat. That said, it’s important to set expectations: this isn’t a real scientific microscope. It’s more of a toy with decent magnification, great for sparking curiosity but not for detailed scientific study. You’re not going to see cells or bacteria, but you will get a cool close-up of fabric fibers, leaves, or tiny objects from around the house. It feels well built for something in this price range and seems durable enough to survive regular kid use. My only minor gripe is that it doesn’t come with a case or extra blank slides, but for the price, it’s a great little intro to science.
