$300 mechanic bill for a new tie rod end? I don’t think so! If you’ve got access to the internet and just a few tools, you too can be a “utube” certified mechanic! Now I’m no stranger to turning a wrench, but suspension parts have always intimidated me a bit but, after watching a short video, I felt pretty comfortable doing this job alone. Granted, the video said it was a 15 minute job, and maybe it could have been for someone less apprehensive about fiddling with such an important piece of the steering/alignment, but it took me a solid 30 minutes and I’m not mad at myself at all. And with the $270 I saved, I was able to fill my gas tank all the way up!
