This kit fixes the “death rattle” in an R56 Mini Cooper at a fraction of the cost from the dealer.Having to do this repair removes “The Ultimate Driving Machine” from Mini and BMW, in my opinion. An ultimate driving machine is one that runs reliably more than 4 months at a time. You didn’t come here to read a rant, this kit is better than the original cheap parts that it’ll replace. Your Mini will thank you.

Where do I start, I cranked this chain down to torque only to find out I had bound the chain outside the teeth of the crank gear. Then I pulled it out and it was perfectly fine, I reinstalled it with new bolts and have ran it for 5k it’s perfectly fine. The only downside to this kit is that it does not include the new cam gear bolts and crank bolt which need to be replaced since they are torque to yield. This is a must since the only thing holding the timing on par is the torque of the bolt.
