Scotty #1133 Duplex 12/2 Electrical Downrigger Wire is ultra-flexible coil, water and UV resistant sheathing. 100% Tin plated copper conductor resists corrosion from salt and moisture. Solid rubber-filled (not paper or twine) insulator jacket resists capillary action from moisture. For wire run lengths of up to 25 feet, use minimum 12-gauge wire. For runs of 25 to 40 feet, use 10-gauge wire. Manufactured from Heavy Duty annealed, tinned copper, providing maximum current flow. Ultra-flexible for extra protection from vibration or frequent flexing. CSA and UL approved, RoHA compliant.

Power cable is too thick for stock plugs. Is not a 1:1 replacement for the power cables that come on high performance downriggers but will work with some modification.

This product is 10 guage not 12. If you are a professional and want what is described I would buy from a different seller. Product showed up fast and quality was good. I wish it was what I ordered.

Product description says the cable is 12 gauge 2 wire (12/2). The cable is actually 10 gauge 2 wire (10/2). It was too large for my application. Additionally, not only is the product not as described, I now have to pay shipping cost for the return item as a Prime member or drive 100 miles for a free drop off. I will be contacting Amazon customer service. Update: Amazon customer service refunded my account in full.

Excellent quality wire. Only thing to use for downrigger wiring. Could be used for numerous other things but kinda expensive for most stuff.

just what I wanted for installing two scotty downriggers. Heavy duty and will be perfect for in a boat.This is 12' long or a 24' electrical run (the longest run scotty recommends for 12 gauge wire) Any longer and they recommend 10 gauge.
