Not as convenient to attach to your downrigger cable as the version fitted with a gripping "cable snap", but this one is less likely to be lost to the sea if it hits the downrigger on the way up. This style works well for positioning your fishing gear anywhere on the cable, which is useful when you want to stack more than one line on a single downrigger, or if you want a single fishing line running above the cannonball instead of directly behind it.

Like the concept so you can hit auto up and not worry about loosing the upper stacked clip when it hits the boom but this thng broke on first day at the metal clip. Maybe a fluke?

use these to add a second rod to downrigger. always have good results with scotty. price was in line or less than other places.
