Could not use the riser because it was very difficult to pull at a higher point than without the riser.

mounted this in a lowe 165 on the back deck and it gives me a nice working hight with plenty of clearance over the gunwale. pretty much what you would expect from a scotty product

I needed something that would raise my Downrigger from my tracker boat and these things works perfectly. Picked up two. Great price when compared to the big retail store down the street from me. I love going there to look at their animals and get some fudge, but I go to Amazon to get the best price.
