Sling spears come with 3 or 4 pronged tips. The tines on this are shorter and don’t spread when you release the spear. Lion fish can be small and we’ve had the tines go right around them like a carnival knife thrower. This tip ensures you’ll get them.

Works very well but only last one season. Rust takes over and it’s hard to get the fish off.

First shot on a mullet and one of the barbs broke off at the base. Also started rusting at the base where it’s welded. Not great quality especially for salt water. Go with Cressi gear IMO.

I used this Spear Tip no more than 4 times. One prong fell off without any impacts. I can fix the prong but should not have to. Could not give it a three star since it was very new and barely used.
