Great quality product, this is a very solid item that is clearly built to hold up well to the harsh saltwater conditions of the ocean. The cable portion is incredibly strong and the nylon strap with buckle is quite secure. The carabiner is also very stout feeling and seems to be made from a corrosion resistant metal.

I've been diving for only a few years, but I can already tell you just how many different little things I dive into the water with. Flashlights, tablets, cameras, tank-tappers, camera, etc. And so many times when I jump in, something slips away and glides down into the darkness, or glides down and is caught by my divemaster and returned to me.Alternately, I hook stuff to my BCD and then what happens is that either it's on a tiny short cord, or a long cord. If a tiny short cord, I'm floating around holding everything literally close to my chest. Things like flashlights or cameras, that work better with long cords, those things are annoying and drag behind me, dragging across the sand, or across coral, or across the heads of divers who are beneath me.In either case, the stuff smacks me in the face when I jump in.So I'm telling you, these lanyards are perfect. They can be short and sturdy as needed (I can just clutch all my junk across my chest), or they can be unclipped and let me stretch my gear out.And they are steel-core, so tough and sturdy. And finally, if you have a DM that you really like, they make very nice gifts!Grey is a nice color -- you can color-key your lanyards to whatever item you have hooked to them, although they interchangeably hook.
