DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. TRIED TO CLEAN THE TILT TUBE AS SHOWN ON YOU TUBE. OBVIOUSLY THE VIDEO MECHANIC HAD A QUALITY PRODUCT. I PURCHASED THESE AND BOTH OF THEM CAME APART, THE BRUSH FROM THE STEM, WHILE INSIDE THE TUBE. VERY CHEAP PRODUCT. I USED AN ELECTRICAL CRIMPER TO PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Luckily there was a second brush. One broke the first time.i used it to clean out my outboard motor tilt tube. The second one lasted just long enough.I recommend going with a more expensive version.

I replaced my steering cable and figured I would clean out the tube real good while I had the chance. Brush was a super tight fit and it was hard for me to use due to limited clearance on both sides of my motor. I got one brush stuck in the tube which put me in panic mode for a few minutes while I worked to get it back put. I think I will go with something less stiff if I clean out the tube in the future.

I would not recommend this brush for cleaning your tilt tube. Both wire brush snapped off the tube in about 5 turns or so. Both times then I had to hammer the brush part out of the tube with a metal rod. Really not sure why they are designed like this.

Liked the value and time saving design . A little less robust than some others. Too powerful of a drill will spin the wire head off the shaft, so go slow.

You do have to go from one side to the other, but spray some PB Blaster in your steering tube first and you have a 5 second clean out with these guys and a drill. A+
