I used this to get rid of the carbon seal on my 96xp and haven't look back. I have converted my two other skis to this as well.

Ordered this bearing in a jam to try to get the ski going for the last weekend at the lake. Amazon was the only source that could deliver in time. I have to leave for 5 weeks in AK this week and the failed bearing is still in the ski at the lake.. I’ll be eating this purchase.. The rear seal failed while greasing the fitting for the first time during installation.. Thought we had it pushed back in and was able to run the ski for 1-2 hours then the bearing itself failed and seized hard enough the motor wouldn’t even turn over. Also in that 1-2 hours of running the zerk fitting managed to completely disappear from it.. I’m sure I’ll find it in the bilge sometime in October when I’m finally able to replace the bearing.

Worked great on my 2000 seadoo xp to get rid of that pos carbon seal. Doesn’t leak a drop. They used this style on the 98 and switched to the carbon seal style after that which is notorious for leaking and cavitation issues. I’ll definitely be using these instead on my future skis.

I don’t usually write reviews but I could not find a new OEM shaft seal for my genesis. I tried the seal for the virage but it is too long. This couple was close enough in diameter that I needed so I went ahead and gave it a try and so far working great after a 10 minute ride. I had to trim the rubber hose about half inch to make it work. I tried using original hose but was so warped from previous fit I did not want to chance of not sealing. I did test fit the bearing seal on driveshaft before installing and fit perfectly. I was worried the bearing would be to small as from my research the Polaris shaft is .875 inch and this bearing seal is .85 inch. I will update if any issues with the seal leaking etc.

Seems to be ok but hose is 1/2” short for my ‘95 sportster.
