Inferior design and materials but gets the job done with some modifications. If you're able to install this and have the holes line up and have the mast wires fitting inside the base you're one lucky person! MY old mast light had the mast wires come up inside it and screw down as a good quality light would have. This one has a red and black wire exiting the open bottom and the connections are made there with connectors of choice because they do not provide them.... and they expect these wires to fit inside this small base....not going to happen. I decided to install a teak block and screwed that into my mast screw holes and then this light to the teak block. I had to notch the plastic base of the light for the wires to exit from the side of the base to make my connections and then water proofed them. This light has a low amp draw and meets coast guard requirements but the light will not make you seen in bad conditions....its just keeping you legal.

Straight forward installation and worked well the first two weekends. Out in the boat last night, not working. Debug today, 12volts to the light and nothing. Basically a $30 throw away. Not happy.

Good bright light. Out of the box the top and frosted globe fell right of, would have hoped for better construction. I gooped it back together, took the bottom part off, and mounted it in a pole to run as a kayak running light. Works well now. Would give 4 stars except that at nearly 25 bucks, I would have expected better construction.

Wow, this thing is BRIGHT!I was a little worried about a single bulb unit would be bright enough, but this one is. Seems very well built, and much less expensive than most of the competitors.

My boat had a Perko 2 bulb navigation/anchor light that drew entirely too much amperage while at anchor on battery power. This is a perfect low power LED replacement. Was able to use some of the original mounting with some modification, and replaced just the original bulb housing with this light. This light is USCG approved; stamped on the housing, and appears to be bright enough.There seems to be some confusion as to what this light is (mast head, anchor, navigation...); Its simply a 360 degree white light, what would be found on a boat with a single stern/anchor light.Very pleased with this light, recommend it for an LED replacement, but may need some retro-fitting.

Purchased this as the price was cheap, expected the worst. Product arrived fine and is installed on our commercial fishing vessel that we anchor frequently at night with. The light is incredibly bright and casts enough light to even venture on deck in the dark to check on things. The only suggestion for those buying this, use basic clear silicone around the lens base as it can come off easily, thus exposing the circuitry to the elements. I am impressed.

A great masthead light. Easy to install and emits very good light. Juat wish there was a little more wire to feed into the masthead and then connect to teh internal mast wiring. Still, highly recommended and great value for money.

Excellent item, well constructed, simple to install, and brighter than others we've had. Coast Guard ought to be happy. We would recommend this to anyone replacing an old one.
