Whoever assembled this light didn't use the jig (oh wait, that would be so simple)! If I keep it, i will have to disassemble the light, to realign the red/green lens. It is about 20 degrees off center when plugged in to a properly installed base. Which, by the way, do not purchase the base suggested by Amazon to go with It! Silly me, it never crossed my mind that they might not be compatable. The base will not accept the plastic eccentric/sleeve on the l8ght shaft. Amazon is getting more aggravating by the day, as is the China junk that seems our only choice for certain items any more. Rant over for now.

Received the item exactly as described, works as it should. The light bulb is not LED and the light does include its own collar to hold the light in the base.

Just add a base and storage clips, and it's always handy and ready to go. Tall enough to be seen for longer distance. Best feature is no more dead batteries to leave you in the dark. Add a base and direct connect it to your 12V power, and the light just plugs in when needed. Add storage clips to keep it out of the way and safe from damage when not in use.

It is exactly what I needed. The height clears my anchor which is high when out of the water and traveling. Materiala seem very sturdy. Works great. Amazon prime shipping brought it to me fast and in perfect shape. Thank you.

At about 17 inches, this gave enough height to shine over my anchor rest. I don't have to remove the anchor like I would have with the 12 inch models. Base locks up tight. Never had a problem with the non-locking kind, but this will give a little more confidence when the boat is pounding in rough water.
