So apart from not being a universal lock this thing has the potential to cause harm if not installed correctly.I rigged it up but was very concerned about the single tiny screw that is supposed to lock the holder to your d lock or u lock.This thing is not designed for serious d locks or u. Locks which can weigh 1-2kg, like mine which I have to carry for the insurance on my bicycle.To test the theory I rigged it up in my preferred position and took it out around my neighborhood. Lo and behold after a few bumps and potholes, not uncommon in London where I live, the tiny set screw had loosened enough for it to move around.My preferred position was at the rear of the bike low down - if the holder came loose like that and caused my d lock to flap around it could easily damage to a passing vehicle or even hurt someone if I was unaware it was loose.Even if installed carried under the seat bar it would still flap and hit my knees as I peddled.Cheap junk. Avoid.

Ich habe eine Lösung gesucht, mein Bordo Granit Ringschloss vernünftig am Escooter zu befestigen. Leider passt die dem Schloss beiliegende Halterung zwar vermutlich gut für Fahrräder aber leider nicht für Scooter.Diese Halterung dagegen passt auch für das Abus Schloss und hält es super an der Lenkstange des EScooter. Sehr zu empfehlen

I waited until the mason seatylock arrived before reviewing the mount. After reading through the instructions it was fairly easy to put on the bike. It’s really secure also good with no rattling of the u lock once clicked in place

I know a lot of people have had issues with this Mason U-Lock holder not fully securing, but it works fine on my GoTrax electric scooter. It keeps my Mason U-Lock secure so I don’t have to carry it with me every time I use my scooter. Seatylock makes great products!

My bike doesn't have a typical frame triangle, so the only place I could fasten the mount was to the seatpost, but this obstructed mounting and pedaling the bicycle.I tried attaching the mount to the top tube (which is narrower and split into two for my frame) as well as my rear rack, but the threaded "zip ties" only tighten enough for the wider tubes of a more typical frame. Unfortunately, attaching it to my seatpost would pose a safety hazard and so the mount was actually a worse option than simply putting the lock in my bag.To be clear, the lock itself is great, but even with the clever design of this mount I simply could not find a safe way to attach it to my bicycle. This may have been different with the pentagonal locks, since you can position the shackle cuff in a lot more different ways, whereas the triangular locks only fit the cuff at the base of the shackle and of course only at one of three angles.
