This item was a little smaller that I expected, but still worked out for me. I suspect that these were designed for light stands as per the description. I blame my ADHD for skimming the description.

This head is really sturdy and works great. If you are looking for a heavy duty grip head, I would definitely recommend this one. Worked great for holding my scrim and was easy to adjust

This Selens works as designed as a grip head, however it doesn't work as well as some higher end brands. As an example, when opening the pinch plates, the guide pin easily binds and makes doing a quick arm change a hassle, requiring a tap with a hammer sometimes. Higher grade heads have a spring and better tolerances that keep this binding from occurring. Not a problem if you're not using it heavily but if in a busy studio it gets irritating. Otherwise it functions as designed. Not knocking the product just a head's up if you're used to Matthews or other higher grade units, but at the price it's a good head...
