These were used to replace a pair of hinges that got damaged from the recent hurricanes. Seem more than strong enough for what my pvc vinyl gate needed.

These hinges work great! So easy to install, als easy to adjust. Self-close a wood gate without problem. Please note they look best on a 4x4, see pics where I use them on 2 2x4's (3" combined), it works, but would fit better on a 4x4 (3 1/2").

Have used a lot of different types of hinges for Gates and these are by far the best for 4x4 posts. They secure well to the post and gate. And the best part is they are very adjustable to have your latch line up perfectly. Solid steel design. I'm happy with my order.

Wow! These are amazing. I did not expect them to be so strong and sturdy. They came with hardware to attach them, though my circumstances required different fasteners. I adjusted the tension on the spring to account for the heft of the gate I made. I will stop using any other type of spring mechanism to close gates.

This is definitely a heavy duty set of hinges. They are very heavy and built to last. There is an adjustment screw, adjusted by the enclosed tool, allowing you to adjust how fast or slow it closes. The screws that come with it are not made as strong as the hinges. The coating on the hinges are thick and should help prevent rust for many years.

Put these on a gate in the back of my fenced in acre area for our pups. I bring my mower in and out and sometimes I have forgotten to latch the gate. With this setup I am now stress free. Be mindful that your pet could get pinched by the door closing it automatically.
