This is a great replacement tip for the standard TurboTorch tips for the G-8 handle. It's self-lighting, which is great and it's a drop in replacement. It seems a little touchy to get the gas flow dialed in perfectly but that could just by my handle.There is no way to get this torch tip to work without a TurboTorch (or clone) handle so don't bother trying (trust me). Save yourself the trip to the emergency room or even worse... I would highly recommend this torch tip to anyone with a G-8 handle who is looking for a large sized replacement tip. This one will easily fulfill your needs.

This tip was used upon arrival. It was used for both soldering and brazing. It is well made, and functioned better than any other popular brand name tips. I will purchase more to have set of different sizes. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

Drop in replacement for the original self light tip. i lost mine or gave it away so it is good to have it back. Works good so far about a month into use.

I have tried this tip several times and I cannot get a good flame pattern. Unfortunately my new acetylene tank was lost in shipping which kept me from testing this torch before the return period ended.I have a standard #5 tip that works just fine and is easy to adjust. I just cannot get a good flame pattern from this tip and when I get close it is extremely touchy to any adjustment. I cannot recommend it. Maybe I just got a bad one.

A well made self igniting PL-8A stize air acetylene tip. It fits all of the Turbo Torch Brand torches I own as well as the Awlolwa torch accepting all of my Turbo Torch branded tips. It seems to be fully compatible with each other. The tip ignites fast on the first click and provides a nice size flame for larger project or even small jobs where the material acts like a heatsink and prevents the smaller standard size tips from getting enough heat into the work.

OK - So this nozzle snapped right into my handle no problem.... Where it spooks me is when I turn on the gas and pulled the trigger BOOM! big ball of flame and the flame jumped to the air holes almost burning my hand...This could have turned into a flashback.Now, this might be from the low gas I was running, but it's plenty for my normal nozzle. after a few tries I got a feel for it - when you pull the trigger and ignite it, it holds a rich flame until you let go of the trigger - it may also be that I need to pull the trigger faster to close the air hole off...Once ignited it burns cleanly and works fine - just takes a little 'playing with fire' to figure it out.
