Ive had this machine about a month now. There are some things you should be aware of before purchasing but overall I am very happy with it!I have 2 cats that’s use it. I got it because I unfortunately need to keep their litter box in my bedroom and was tired of scooping 5 times a day to keep the smell from bothering me (my kitten poops a lot!) I could not afford a LR and this cheaper alternative was 1000% worth the money.1. It’s not smell proof but does limit it drastically, in comparison to a regular box. I change the bag just about every 2-3 days to keep the smell down, but the waste drawer will only be about 1/4th of the way full, so realistically you could go a long time before changing it.2. The slits in the sifter part (the piece that separates the waste from the clean litter) are a bit wide. I think this was done on purpose so that the machine could accommodate a variety of litter types including large litter pellets and such. However, this also means that small bits of waste clumps don’t get removed. So I do replace the litter entirely more often than advertised. I do this about every 7 days, so overall i’m going through the same amount of litter as I was with a regular litter box. But the process is convenient because the machine can empty the old litter for you.3. I have to take this thing apart at least once a week to clean/wash it out entirely. I do this every time I replace the litter. My kitten doesn’t always cover his poop perfectly so exposed feces can kind of “smear” on the wall as it tumbles its way out when the drum rotates. The litter tray part is kind of shallow, so sometimes pee clumps will get stuck to it, instead of falling out. Also my cats like to pee on the walls so the rim of the tray part gets icky... When taking it apart to clean, it’s a bit awkward to get inside the drum especially if you don’t have hose access, so it’s much more time consuming than washing out a regular litter tray. However this was to be expected with how much more is involved with this litter box.4. It is a lot quieter than I expected. It does make a sound when rotating obviously, but I was worried that it would be loud enough to wake me up, but unless i’m really close to it I can’t hear it at all.5. The litter mat was a nice bonus, it does catch quite a bit! The machine itself doesn’t prevent litter tracking any more than a regular hooded box would.. However I think all cat owners know that no matter what you do, you’ll always need a broom near by. (tip: plastic walled containers outside the opening help a lot too!)6. I personally find the app to be very user friendly and straight forward. The instructions were straightforward. I like the features it offers. You can use it manually without interfering with the automatic cleaning. You can customize cleaning wait time. The operations log is convenient and tracks everything down to when and how long the cat was in the box, to when a part of the machine is not assembled properly.. However, It does not separate each individual cats bathroom statistics. It DOES record the cats weight every time they enter, so I can still tell which cat went when, because my kitten is much smaller than my adult cat.. However my machine does not track the weight correctly and is off by up to 1kg. So when my kitten is fully grown I may not be able to tell.Overall, as long as you have realistic expectations of this thing, you will probably love it! Cleaning it once a week and replacing the bag every couple of days 100% beats frequent scooping in my opinion. Plus, less smell!

Way better than the Litter Robot that I previously had. It was a lemon from the get-go. Had it for five years and it probably worked 75% of the time. Not good for a $500.00 product. Even after many repairs and replacement parts, it still wouldn't work properly. However, this one, so far, works like a dream. All four of my cats use it with no problem. If it is trying to empty and a snoopy cat sticks their head inside, it will quit until the cat leaves, then it starts back up again. This unit is very quiet when it empties, it has a barrier in the front which keeps the mess inside from the more rambunctious diggers, the collection box is quite large and even with four cats, it doesn't need to be emptied but once every other week. It will stop working when it detects that the collection box is full. Good thing, so it doesn't overflow. There is no smell that I can detect. Every once in a while I take a sponge and wipe down the inside walls. When you put new litter in, you need to unplug it or turn it off for about 15 seconds for it to reset itself. I've only had it for about a month now, but so far, so good. Hoping it will keep working like this for many years to come.

Came with a broken weight sensor. Company sent a new one. Even with their directions and replaced broken piece, automatic will not work. Does not sense cat. No weight. No automatic cleaning. Will still clean well when I do manual button, but that defeats the whole purpose of an automatic cat box.EDIT: Company sent a whole new unit. This one works perfect, as expected! The customer service is slow, but great final resolution. Finally worth every penny!EDIT AGAIN: Replacement worked perfectly for less than a month. Now it has not worked at all for over a week. It won't reset. It goes back and forth between saying system error, drum not installed properly, or door anti-pinch triggered. This has to be another software and function issue, as I have thoroughly cleaned it 3 times since this issue. This time customer service gave me a robot response asking for ID# and saying will respond within 3 day. It has now been almost a week. I sent another email, and still no response. I've already had to purchase a new box because this one will not do anything at all. Not worth the headache and definitely not worth a penny let alone it's cost. Returning.
