This epoxy is on par with other brand metal epoxy's that I have purchased from the local store in the past. This does have a strong odor to it until it is dry, so make sure you are in a semi-well vented area. This is not a substitute for welding but does work for its intended purpose. I had a tab that broke off on my lawn mower to keep a part in place and used some of this liberally around the area where the tab should have been and was able to reattach the tab to the main shrouding and put it back on my lawn mower looking like new.

I ordered this product to fix a metal bird feeder that broke at its base. The first thing i notice was the smell was very strong and theSyringe didn't evenly squeeze the two fluids that make up the glue. I tried applying it to the metal to metal joint and left it alone to dry. After 3 days the bird feeder was broken again. The glue was dried up but the seal apparently is very weak.

Be realistic, this isnt an alternative to TIG welding metal. This is typical 5 minute epoxy only in a darker color, good for filling cracks gluing together parts not under stress, sealing parts to make them liquid tight. Dont expect it to tolerate lot stress/flexing or provide significant strength. If you need quick fix with bit more strength, might want to consider a putty type epoxy. Though again be realistic. Epoxy has its uses but its not a substitute for proper welding, brazing, etc. Especially consumer grade epoxies. There are industrial grade epoxies.... but not usually sold to the public.

I had a chair that I needed to repair so I thought I'd give this a try. It worked and seems to be holding well, though the fix is not in a weight-bearing area so I'm not sure it would hold under those conditions.Regardless, here's a few thoughts I have:1. It stinks. Use this outside. Period. It is strong epoxy so smell is pretty unavoidable but, in hindsight, I wouldn't even use this in an open garage like I did. It still smells in there hours later, and I took the tube out to the shed when I was done so it's not even being stored in the garage.2. The two parts flow differently at first. The black side will flow out quicker at start before the clear. You will be tempted to push down on the plunger more to get the clear flowing - Don't do it. It won't want to stop until the pressure equalizes. I ended up wasting some because it flowed so differently at first, which was a bit annoying.3. It comes with a little spatula to mix and spread the epoxy which was nice, though a Q-tip will also work.As I said, it seems to be holding so far so I'm happy with it, but I will definitely use it outside next time.

This is a fairly quick-setting epoxy, intended for use on metal--but while reasonably strong when used as an adhesive, it is no substitute for welding, and certainly will not be strong as the original metal part. So while it is good for some types of repairs, do not rely on it for repairing a break in any significant load-bearing item.Like most two-part epoxy products, you must be careful to squeeze out equal volumes of the two components (epoxy resin and hardener) into a small cup or onto a piece of heavy paper. Once you have equal amounts of both, start mixing them together thoroughly (using the provided single-use plastic spatula, or with something like a popsicle stick). It is very important that the quantities be equal, and that the mixing be done very thoroughly--or else the mixture will not cure properly. Do the mixing quickly, and then apply the epoxy to the item to be mended. It will start to harden within a couple of minutes after the two epoxy components come in contact with each other--but you must allow about 24 hours for the bond to reach its full strength. The product has a rather strong--and somewhat unpleasant--odor, so be sure to use it in an area with adequate ventilation. (Once fully cured, the odor will be gone.)

This product is a disaster. It smells really bad and does not dry. Now I have to find a way to remove it.
