Solid construction but had to add a bearing sleeve in order to get it to move freely without binding on the frame. Built out a GT International BMX 21.5" frame and went with a 12t freewheel + 25t sprocket with a half link chain. Rides nicely!

This is literally the exact same as the one that was on the cheap walmart bike. Didn't work for the gas powered bike project we were working on but that's my fault for not checking dins well enough. Seems to be sturdy and built well for being cheap Chinese part.

Does everthing i expected. A little stiff at first, but I just sprayed with a light lube(like wd or aerokroil). Engagement is about instant and very strong. Overall this is a great freewheel to have if you want a bit better than standard.(Bought for single speed road bike. original freewheel was epoch)

Works great in converting my X-Games BMX bike to a more street friendly gear ratio with the 12 teeth rather than the 16 teeth that came on my bike originally. I did have to add a spacer between axle and the mounting surface of the frame to keep the freewheel from rubbing on the inside of the frame. I also decided to add an equal width spacer on the non-sprocket side of the axle to keep the tire/rim centered within the frame rather than taking the time to re-dish the rim by tightening the sprocket side spokes and loosening the non-sprocket side to recenter the rim/tire by adding the spacer to the sprocket side only. I used my scissor jack from my car to give me the extra width I needed so I could install my now wider axle assembly into the bike. This was all necessary because the 12 tooth sprocket is about 1 inch wide compared to the 5/8 inch width of the original 16 tooth sprocket, but it was really worth the extra effort to get the increased cruising speed I now have.

Junk. Zero stars if I could give it. Looked and acted fine and appears the same quality level as your typical Chinese freewheel. But unscrewed itself and seized on the bike on its first trip. I think it made it 12 miles until I started hearing noise and decided I better head straight home. Within a couple of miles the thing had begun to visibly unscrew itself (the base remained firmly in place but the body was working itself towards the dropout with an increasing gap becoming evident) and eventually it came in contact with the dropout and seized the rear wheel via friction against it. In a lifetime of cycling I've never seen something like this happen. These things are supposed to be threaded so thats not even possible, right?
