Don't forget to remove the "metal sleeve" that the OEM control knob will leave on the control panel stem. A pair of needle-nose pliers will easily reach it and a gentle straight pull removes it. The new knob fits the 1999 Jeep TJ heater control panel perfectly. It appears that this knob will be illuminated (like the OEM knob) based on the clear/bluish portions of the plastic. I haven't driven at night yet, so can't yet confirm that. But the knob works fine and blends-in with the OEM knobs remaining. I bought 3 so that I have spares!

I am so happy that I could buy a three pack! I have to replace the switch every 10 years because it breaks from the hot Arizona weather!

Matches perfect, fits great, 0 complaints. 2002 TJ I read several reviews before buying. One of them mentioned to make sure to get the original metal sleeve off of the shaft before installing. Whoever said that, deserves a beer. I didn't see anything on the shaft and tried to put on the new knob. No go. Remembered that guys review, got my Leatherman out, pulled slightly, and there was the original metal sleeve. Took all of 5 seconds to install after that.

Fits really well. Remember to check for the original metal sleeve which may be left behind and will make the new knob not fit until you remove it. It is hard to see if you are not familiar with the metal sleeve.
