Review of 2 Inch Caster Wheels - Casters Set of 4I recently purchased the 2 Inch Caster Wheels set, and I have to say, I’m quite impressed with their performance and value for money. This set of four heavy-duty casters is perfect for various applications, from carts to workbenches, and they provide an excellent solution for mobility.Pros: Weight Capacity: Each wheel supports up to 150 pounds, making this set capable of handling a total weight of 600 pounds for your workbench or furniture. In my experience, this is more than sufficient for typical usage, and I appreciate the peace of mind it offers when moving heavy items. Locking Mechanism: I particularly love the locking feature on these casters. It ensures that once you've positioned your furniture or equipment, it stays securely in place. This added safety feature is invaluable, especially in busy work environments. Smooth Mobility: The polyurethane (PU) wheels glide smoothly over various surfaces. I tested them on both hardwood floors and concrete, and they performed admirably without scratching or damaging my flooring. The swivel plate design allows for easy maneuverability at any angle, making it easy to navigate tight spaces. Aesthetic Appeal: Not only do they function well, but they also look good. Their sleek design adds a modern touch, which is a bonus if aesthetics matter to you. Affordability: At just $12 for a set of four casters, the price is incredibly reasonable considering the quality and performance. This affordability makes them an attractive option for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike.Cons: Size Limitations: While the 2-inch size is perfect for many applications, some users might need larger wheels for heavier or uneven loads. It’s important to assess your needs beforehand.Overall Impression:I highly recommend the 2 Inch Caster Wheels set of four. They offer a great combination of strength, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Whether you are looking to enhance your workbench, cart, or any other piece of furniture, these casters deliver on their promises without breaking the bank. With their locking mechanism and smooth functionality, I feel confident recommending them to anyone in need of reliable mobility solutions.

I used these for a pretty heavy (five drawers) mobile cabinet in my shop and they work really well. They were easy to install and roll around easily. They lock easily and stay put well. I only wish I didn't need to bend down to unlock them, but that's always an issue with the smaller wheels. Smooth and free moving otherwise.

Wheels are good . But it's a good thing I have my own tools. Because I received a straight slot screwdriver for the Philips screws lol.

These are fantastic little wheels. They have everything you would want. Actual ball bearings, a bolt thru them so they are serviceable. It also came with proper pan head screws which is not something that always happens. They are also nice and quiet on my garage floors which is nice.Price wise these are one of the better quality wheels you can get for sub 15 bucks. These install easy with the included screwdriver into wood provided you predrill the holes in hardwood (probably fine into soft wood)

TLDR: These casters are made very well. The body is all metal construction, and most of it is painted in a hard black enamel paint. The wheels are made from a hard urethane; and the locks/brakes are excellent and lock both the wheel and caster. The included hardware for mounting is stainless steel.Dimensions were a mixed bag; some were spot on, others were off, here is what I measured:The mounting plates have the following dimensions:Length is 69.95mm +/- .05mmWidth is 50mm +/- .05mmThickness at mounting holes is 1.75mm +/- .1mmHole pattern is 52mm x 35mm center to centerMounting holes are ovals, 8.25mm across and 11.25mm longThe brake lever is 46mm long +/- .25mmThe wheels are made with a hard urethane and are attached to casters that have a smooth swivel action. Each wheel has 2 sealed 608 bearings, and they appear to be properly packed with a heavy grease. The width is 23mm +/- .25mmThe diameter is actually 49.25mm +/- .25mmThe overall caster is 71.5mm tallAll 4 casters are identical and have metal locking levers. The rivets are well formed and the hardware holding the wheel is appropriately sized for the task. The nut holding the axle of the nyloc variety which is nice to see. It is worth noting that these wheel locks will engage with both the wheel and the caster itself. This means that when you lock the wheels the caster is also locked into position. There is also a bag containing 16 screws and washers (worth noting that they are proper stainless steel). The screws are panhead phillips screws. The screw head is 10.9mm in diameterThe screw thread has a diameter of 4.7mm (5mm)The overall length of the thread is 18mm, and it is self tapping. This is an excellent set of casters, and they punch well above their weight and price. It is nice to see the sturdy construction and attention to detail and going the extra mile to include stainless screws and washers for mounting. They even toss in a screwdriver, but I would just recommend using a proper cordless tool. The only bad thing I can say about them is that there is no way you can use these on gravel (as the description would have you believe). It seems that they spent their budget on the quality of the product rather than marketing material, and I like that.
