These locks seem nice at first, but they’re very lightweight and over the winter one actually split in half probably from freezing even though I lubricate them all with movement lubricant very cheap product would never buy again. I guess you get what you pay for.

These appear to be very light duty but would stop an honest person from going any further I think. A dishonest person will get in no matter what lock you put on so these will work for the vast majority of situations. They each come with 2 keys so I have 8 locks and 16 keys. Should last a while.

I can't speak to how they would hold up in the elements or to being tampered with, but I like how lightweight they are and that they're coated. They were good for what I need them for, which was to lock some cases up during transport.

I bought these after previously buying the longer shackle bigger brother of this brand. I am only using these indoors to secure lockable plastic storage bins shut. I wanted something one step sturdier than cheap luggage locks with thin shackles that usually lack the locking cuts in the shackle itself. Those can be easily distorted enough with a screwdriver to defeat without leaving behind any evidence that they were.These are very secure - not going to be easy to defeat without so much effort that it would be obvious if someone tried. All these locks are all working out very well - no issues with keys or malfunctioning locks so far.

So I’d been shopping for a keyed alike lock set and chose a 1 1/2 inch and smaller brass 12 lock set from Home Depot, based on my current 1 1/2 brass locks.Those were garbage, yeah they made the size, but with maybe half the metal of my current locks and the keys were sized to fit the smallest locks of the three size set. Garbage.This product follows a similar strategy, but successfully. These 1 9/16 locks have a similar amount of metal to my current 1 1/2 locks so it’s what I needed. With two keys per lock there are way too many of those, but that’s a small point.We shall see how well these hold up, but they appear well made and are an attractive design.
