Thai Lao Streaming Sticky Rice Cookware Thai Food Menu Recipe Kitchen Tool. This Cookware design by the ancient Know how and still be the best way to cook Sticky Rice (Kao-Neaw). The set you will get a Weaving Bamboo ware and an Aluminum Pot.
How to make sticky rice:
1. soak the sticky rice in water overnight (or at lest 4-5 hours)
2. After soaking the rice, then transferred it to a cone shaped basket used for steaming.
3. Placed the bamboo steamer over the steaming pot containing boiling water.
4. Usually it just takes 15-20 minutes.
After 15 minutes you can remove the lid, and check to see if the rice is fluffy and not crunchy at all. If it’s still a little crunchy, just put the lid back on the basket, or whatever steamer you’re using, and allow to steam for a few more minutes.

I didn't want to just buy any $15 pot an any international store, so I spent the extra money to have this one and I'm thrilled with it. It's very high quality aluminum and washed well after I opened it. I like the basket also and find it of better quality than what's available in all the markets, too. Thank you for a quality product.

This is a game changer for me. I had never used one before, and it’s now in regular use. It’s so easy and the rice comes out perfectly, every time! I don’t even know how many batches of sticky rice and jasmine rice I’ve made in this so far and I haven’t had it very long :-)

I waited to order this sticky rice steamer and pot combo because I thought it would take forever to receive. This was not the case, and it came within a week. The product is authentic, and works exactly as designed. I thought the price point to be high, but to be honest I couldn’t find this anywhere else and do not regret for a second that I got it. Now I’m worried I should’ve got more! If you like sticky rice Lao style, do you a favour and just get it.

So, I returned this because there was a crack in the bottom of the basket AND there was no mention that the pot had lead in it and causes cancer (disclosed on a small label on the lid. Returned - but it was AlSO never mentioned that there is a restocking fee of $17.50. So you sell me something broken that can poison my family and then charge me for the return. DO NOT BUY unless you are wanting lead poisoning or cancer.

Well, I can’t complain about the product. Everyone loved the sticky rice, it went by fast. Still learning to use it, perhaps people with more experience using these tools might have better insight but from a beginner point of view, it’s easy to use, cleaning is hard and practical.
