They are a good size but they all broke while sewing with them at the area where the eye meets the needle. Cleanly snapped so the thread remained through the needle and the body of the needle separate. For the price this is not what I expected. The project that I was working on was not thick or out of the ordinary for what they would be used for. Very disappointing.

Decided to try these needles due to the review by Mary Corbet of Needle & Thread. The needles are polished on theirlength which makes them exceptionally smooth for hand sewing & embroidery.

Picked up this set to use for quilting, as the ones from the local stores just weren't as durable. Honestly, the Tulip set has surpassed my expectations. I never noticed how beautiful a needle could be until these, but I'm sure part my visual admiration is due to the packaging. I'm fond of the little test tube case for the needles. Highly recommend for EPP projects.

I'm convinced that the process that is done with Japanese needles is somehow better than other places. I loved these needles. They stitched very similar to Clover needles which have always been my favorite. These are definitely good though.
