This sander stopped working after about 45 minutes of sanding. All of these 6 inch sanders at this price level are made in China and are absolute junk.

Just finished sanding a large wooden planked house with this amazing sander. It has a great power range .. works well in my hands and is tough enough to sand multiple layers of decades of paint off with 60 and 80 grit paper ..Very pleased with this sander’s performance.I was a little nervous as it wasn’t a household brand name I could simply pick up at a local store .. but it’s proved to be a tool I will use again and again and getting parts as needed has been easy ..Great sander

Oh my, my - you'll want to have your dancing shoes on for when this girl arrives. Yeah, she's 'spensive – but all the nice pretty girls usually are. This sander, though it is an import tool, should in no way be included in the category of tools that are often called, “cheap imports.”In hand, this sander is very comfortable. The handle has an opening for two to three fingers, and the trigger is a well positioned thumb paddle. The motor is smoooth as the cat's meow and going through the five speeds is like shifting through the gears of a perfect transmission. The marketing says this has a 350w brushless motor – and it does indeed – with plenty more power in the tank. Most tool companies will fugde / lie about that number – not S&F. At no load start @ max this sander hits 300 plus watts and levels down; while sanding at normal pressure she delivers 360 plus watts – but I can lean into it and she'll draw 4.5 amps on my consistent 120v grid without bogging, spitting or choking. Ladies and Gentlemen that's a 540 watt sander. In the lowest speed she delivers 250 watts and doesn't bog down when leaned on, in second gear she delivers the full monte. I find that incredible. This is a nice sander – The sander does the above at a, comparatively, almost silent hum. It feels like I'm holding a pin wheel in hand – not a runaway train. Simply put this machine is a joy to sand with. The tool comes with a nearly 14 foot plug cord. It is a nice cable – it has the letters “SJ” on it, which, if it were an SJOW cable would stand for, “Service (and) Junior.” Junior because it is rated for 300v instead of 600v. It certainly looks like a service cable (think SOOW, SJOW …) - there is a UL listing on it. It is only 18AWG – I don't like that.Dust collection is as good as any I've used. She comes with a 5” and a 6” pad that are made for mesh / screen hook and loop disk (can be used with any hook and loop pads). My work, and my hobbies, require a lot of sanding. I probably own close to 15 electric and pneumatic hand held sanders. For the past three months I've been grabbing this girl most of the time – I've put her through the paces and she's still working as well as the day I unboxed her.7 Super Novas for This S&F STEAD & FAST Electric Random Orbital Sander~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

Even tho it's chinese made, it works like a charm. Good quality and outstanding sander.

This just arrived and I have used it for about 2 hours. I was very impressed with the speed and finish the 80 grit produced. It has made removing old lead paint a snap. Almost no vibration and it is much quieter than the shop vac I use.
