I bought this foolishly thinking I could save a few bucks by getting a cheap generic brand square. Squares after have been around forever, they’re about as basic and simple as it gets, and with modern day manufacturing and advanced technology making a simple 90 degree piece of metal that reasonably accurate should be child’s play. So when I received it I foolishly started using it before checking its squareness. After striking a few cut lines I quickly realized stuff wasn’t lining up on stuff I knew should line up. I went straight to this square and checkout with 5 other squares I have that I know are accurate, or accurate enough for woodworking, and turns out this square isn’t square. Obviously a square isn’t good for anything if it’s not friggin square!! Do yourself a favor and buy a square you know is square.

...controllato la squadra sul piano di riscontro risulta sufficientemente precisa 2-3 centesimi max di fuori squadro non sono nulla e risulta ben salda (una volta stretto la vite di fissaggio). Buono anche il goniometro e gli altri due attrezzi al seguito, solo il colore è un po' "fantasioso" e può non piacere...

If you’ve ever built things you know you like different colors to spot where you laid something. Love that it’s something other than red or orange or royal blue. Now I can spot it easily.

I ordered this to use at work for working with sheet metal. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the product. The protractor was not aligned well, so the angles were not accurately measured.Pic 1: A little hard to see in the photo, but even on 180° you can see the arrows are not able to line up to both 180° markers, and when I actually set it to 180° (in line with the steel rule), the marker arrow was not aligned with either 180° marking.The centre head was also misaligned so it did not actually find the centre. It did not centre on the steel rule, even despite trying to force it centre and locking it in placePic 2: the rule not centred in the centre headPic 3: all lines marked with it. As you can see using it from one side or the other resulted in an almost 5mm difference in the "centre" mark.For the other parts of the product:The regular combination square head does appear to be accurate on both the 90° and the 45°. I tested the spirit level as well and it, too, was accurate, as well as the roofers square it came with.All in all the construction felt ok, but the accuracy was poor and so for me it had no use.

The whole bundle works well I would not recommend for really accurate measurements such as machining but for metal and wood fab it is built fine for what you pay.

EDIT: The seller reached out and provided a refund because of my issues and acquired a picture of the ruler marks to assess. Because of this I'm bumping up to 3 stars from 2 as I appreciate good customer service.I'm currently taking a welding course in college and needed to get a combination square, and came across this kit with a few extra bits that I figured would be useful down the line. The overall product is fine enough, and I like having the extra pieces, but it's disappointing in a couple aspects.Number 1 being that on the ruler, the 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch marks are the same length as the 1/8 inch marks, making it difficult to discern at a quick glance. I find myself having to count the 1/8 marks which is a bit of a nuisance, but not the end of the world.Number 2 being that the protractor head just simply doesn't work. It was EXTREMELY difficult to turn at first and now it is just completely stuck. I made sure to loosen the restraining screws, even removing them at one point, and it still would not budge at all.Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend this kit, but the price is hard to beat for what they offer.
